I'm definitely keeping mine. Coming from WinMo, it's a world's difference in the overall satisfying experience. The learning curve is minimal and ease of use is completely user specific, which in my case, is very high.
I certainly respect the OP's need for not having to tweak things. For him, I would recommend WebOS (which I LOVE!) or iOS (which is ultimate the benchmark of idiot-proof ease-of-use, no offense intended). I got the Thunderbolt not just for what it wants to offer me, but its underlying, unfulfilled potential, whatever it might end up being. So there, I'm definitely keeping my ThunderBolt.

No offense taken. Most people need some things in their lives to be "idiot-proof', I guess a cell phone is mine. :)

Returned mine. Very inconsistent data service and borderline acceptable battery life for me. Too bad, 4G is sweet and the phone is overall quite good. Maybe next time...

it was a little touch n go for me. I was concerned about the battery only keeping a charge for 6 ours and turning itself off, but now over time the battery is lasting 12 plus hours I also ordered the 1600 extended battery today so I am keeping this phone.

You may want to re-think your 1600 order - those batteries IMO (I have one for my Thunderbolt) aren't any better than OEM batteries.

If you are just getting it for an extra battery, maybe OK. But if you are expecting more from it, you will likely be disappointed.

keeping for sure, I know alot of people got this phone because I've let them play with mine or my gf's and they traded their iphones for it too. People are walking around the college campus thanking me for recommending such a great device. AND on top of that we'll see 2.3 in the near future.

Going to keep mine, us early adopters know what we're getting into. We are basically guinea pigs for the tech/wireless companies because we beta test their hardware and software for them to fix it before the masses jump in.

The TB is not the best on battery life but future updates will improve it slightly. And by that time we will be on to the next one...

I love Sense to death, but I'm returning mine.

I keep getting recurring force closes whenever I try to use the FFC, it keeps slowing down considerably, and my 4G data keeps cycling. (I've tried everything tech support has told me to do, and nothing has worked) Battery life is not an issue for me, and isn't a factor in this decision. Probably the biggest factor is that I can't see myself being happy with it for the full two years.

Don't get me wrong, the Bolt is a great device, especially for the first LTE handset. But it just isn't for me.

"Done" means, he started a thread WITH a poll on who's keeping and who's not keeping their TB.

I just added a poll to my thread - better late than never (maybe?)

Thanks for adding the Poll. :D I'm leaning toward returning the Bolt today.I'm packing everything in the car and driving slow to Verizon,I'm happily paying for either the Extended Battery or the Restock Fee.The Thunderbolt's a good next-gen device and LTE is the real deal(unlike WiMax). But after seeing Motorola's GingerBlur release for the DX I feel I should give the Bionic a second chance. Of course if Verizon announces the end date of Unlimited LTE before the Bionic is released I might find myself right back here with the Bolt. And that's hardly a bad thing....;)

Returned my last week thursday...gave it a week and the phone failed waiting for the better phones to come out with bigger battery and better display

I have been struggling with this too. 14 days just wasn't enough time for me because of other things going on in my life right now. But it's my fault for jumping on the band wagon too soon by buying it the first day it was released.

I should have waited a couple weeks to see people's reviews and had one to play with in the store.

My 14th day is tomorrow. I may just keep it, then sell it (to help off set the $375 cancellation fee) if something else comes out later this year or next that I like better.

definitely keeping...only thing i miss right now is BBM other than that it's a great upgrade from my storm.
