5:30 AM EDT and no activity on ye old credit card. I think Google had intended to have them headed our way by now but there has been some logistical hiccup. Would explain why GS already has stock.

No activity here either! If none by about 8:30 then I'm going to guess they won't be shipping today and some of these reports of "next week" are correct!

I feel like we just got rocked in the gut. Im hoping something will happen once the day plans out more. :(

Ordered the nexus 7 on 28th of June, 14 days ago, just got off the phone with a google play customer service rep, he informed me that I was in the first shipment to go out and would receive it within a week. He also mentioned that GS was having a problem with getting the nexus 7.

did Google ever officially state June 12 as a release date? If not why are we freaking out?

Well... That is kinda disappointing.(no activity on creditcards, no email, no change in Google Play). The chance that we are gonna get these by this weekend is looking slim now... :'(

No, people have seen releases from Office Depot (probably fake) that leaked the release date! That's what they are banking on!

No I'm not, GS is an acting agent for Google by selling the N7, which by law entitles me to any and all perks afforded to anyone who pre-ordered from the Play site.

I really think you are wrong on this, GS bought devices from Google and has a contract that allows them to resell them as they see fit. That is why you are not paying shipping, for that matter GS could really charge what ever price they want on it and include what ever warranty they want. As long as they honor their sales contract with Google. You are entitled to what ever game stop is advertising and that's it otherwise basically a N7 should be in the box. That said what ever contract they have with Google supersedes what they may claim about availability...... Read any ads fine print, prices and availability are subject to change.... Pretty basic stuff..... And Google is not required to get our preorders out first, but it stands to reason coming direct from the manufacturer (a direct customer as a posed to a third party customer) and being in line first paying more for processing.... Yes we should get ours first

I'm calling bs on all the stuff people keep saying about cs reps. I talked to one and walked away knowing nothing more than what I know now. They're not Google directly and most likely have no idea about when they ship. I would imagine that its a third party company that deals with their orders and device assistance if needed. Too many he said she said. We won't know anything until Google officially says anything.

It pry is BS, I'm sure they're saying different things for the sole purpose of throwing everyone off the real date! It's fun to have rumors, just hope no one is really, truely, betting their life that one of them might be true!

First post here and all that noise. Anyway, I checked my credit card and saw that my pending charges were no longer there. Before that (1 day ago to be precise) all I heard from on Google's end was some canned response saying that mid-July was their target ship date. Would be nice if they had some more concrete info to give me but whatever, I'll take what I can get at this point. However, I'm still wondering about the pending charges being taken off my card.

I used to work for a company working as a cs rep. We took calls for Sony, New Egg, Maytag, Sirius, and all sorts of other companies. But we were no where close to any of these headquarters. We were instructed to answer the phone and we were whatever company the customer was calling about. We dealt with warranty issues, service or orders. So sometimes someone would call in and gripe and complain about that company thinking we were them and we had sort of influence on that particular company.

I called my bank about that issue and was told that its Google requesting pre-authorization and that it would show on my account for five days and if it was not acted upon they would drop it. But the pre-auth is still active just not shown.

Most CS reps don't work for the actual company! I've worked as a CS rep as well so I know what you mean! Fact of the matter is, the CS reps might have information, but that doesn't make it true! Until people get their shipping notices, anything that is said by any CS rep is, in a sense, a non issue as they may or may not know! So people, don't hold your breath and don't hang on what CS reps are telling people! You'll get it eventually, obviously Google doesn't want people to know the release date, so my guess if they don't tell us directly they're probably not going to tell the CS reps either!
