Sorry about that. I totally forgot the su + busybox file is still in Amend script. Use this CWM to flash it. Sorry, you will have to ODIN this CWM, then boot straight to CWM like you did, then flash the su file in CWM.

Congrats!! I guess the next step would be to decide if you want to stay stock, stay stock and remove verizon bloatware yourself, or try your hand at a custom ROM. There really isn't one thread that covers the different custom ROMs and what the differences among them are. You could also look at adding a theme to your phone to change the look of it. In order to do that you would have to be on a deodexed ROM. If some of this sounds confusing at all I would recommend reading Sheepdog Elite's outstanding thread here:
http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...nate-beginners-rooting-read-me-3-17-11-a.html

It covers a lot of the terminology and clears up a lot. If you want to try your hand at a custom ROM and a theme, then check out posts #4 and 5 of Sheepdog Elite's other great thread. It covers how to flash both and also has a great recommendation of starting out with the ED01 debloated/deodexed ROM as an introduction to custom ROMs:

Returning to stock?

Hello everyone! I want to return to stock ED01 to then put the Debloated/Deodexed rom back on my phone. I was following past instructions of how to do it. I downloaded DL09, which is Eclair 2.1. When I connect my phone and open ODIN and starting doing the download IN PDA, I get this error:

<ID:0/005> Added!!
<ID:0/005> Odin v.3 engine (ID:5)..
<ID:0/005> File analysis..
<ID:0/005> Enter CS for MD5..
<ID:0/005> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<ID:0/005> Please wait..
<ID:0/005> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<ID:0/005> MD5 hash value is invalid.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
<ID:0/005> Removed!!

Is it because I am already on 2.2 or what is the problem?

Re: Returning to stock?

Did you follow the instructions on DriodXcon's thread? (How to Return to Stock)

I was running ComROM 1.3 and flashed back no problem. Downloaded the D101 tar file
ODIN'ed it then the OTA to ver 2.2 ED04.

I did all this cause my new charge comes in tomorrow.

Follow DriodX's instructions, you should be fine.

Mike

Re: Returning to stock?

I would try redownloading the DL09 file and try to ODIN one more time. If that doesn't work, there is an ED01 stock ODIN that doesn't have a radio with it. You would have to do the DL09 radio ODIN with CWM flash to ED01 method to get the build and baseband to match.

Re: Returning to stock?

Follow AtomD21's suggestion since flashing back to DL09 then doing the OTA from there won't take you to ED01, it will take you to ED04. Unless you are ok with ED04 and are going to debloat yourself. Of course I suppose you could flash to DL09, take the update to ED04, then flash the ED01 debloat/deodexed ROM over that. If you are going to do that, redownload the DL09 tar file as it sounds like you have a bad download if you are getting an MD5 error. Use this DL09 file:

If I do go from DL09 to ED04 and then flash the debloated/Deodexed ED01, is there any repercussions for that? As in will the modems work correctly or will I be a guinea pig? I am glad that it might be a bad file because it did make a me a little nervous, but when I turned my phone back on all was good. Thanks for the link.

You'd be just fine to do that. The modem will be left unchanged, you will just be at build ED01. Also, if you want to skip the OTA process and you can get to DL09, there is always the thread on getting to ED01 quickly that Adrynalyne posted forever ago. Then you can do the radio work around to get to the ED04 modem.

I need to go back to stock, sending phone back

First off, I've searched, and there is to much extra jargin for me to totally understand what others have problems with, ect.

I attempted to root early on and it never really worked. Got SU on the phone with 2.2. I am exchanging the phone and need to remove SU and just leave 2.2 on there.

What is the simplest route I can take?

Thanks for the help, I hate noobs too.

Re: I need to go back to stock, sending phone back

The simplest route is to use ODIN to flash 2.1 back on your phone (the build is DL09), and let it OTA to ED04. It will be completely stock, all your data will be gone, and no one would ever know you had it rooted (or mostly rooted...). If you're bringing it back to Verizon, you don't even have to do the OTA, so long as it's stock.

So that post is exactly what I need to do, then do the 2.2 OTA?

Re: Tools and Quick links:PLEASE Read post#1 before posting in th

I have had the missed call issue pretty bad recently, I was going to flash back to stock so I can take it to a vzw store. If I flash the dl09 tar file, do I need the atlas 2.2 pit?

edit: i am on evil fascination 3.6 with ec01 modem
