I don't know if anyone has seen this yet, but the December rumors may be true. Go to Coming in December - Samsung Galaxy Nexus and look at the description in the tab title. It says "Coming in December"

oh and apparently this forum changes the link into the description... it's www. galaxynexus .com

To be fair, it says "Coming in December," but it doesn't say where. I won't believe any date until I can call the store and they say "yes, we do have that in stock."

Either way, I hope it's not true, I already had plans to buy it on the 27th when it's supposedly supposed to be at best buy. I have a ton of best buy rewards certificates saved up, so I will get the phone for free off contract.

Don't kid yourself, this was straight from Samsung. Proably at the request of VZ PR so they don't have to suffer even MORE ill will from all of us. You will not see a VZ SGN in November. I'm as disappointed as you are. Still packin' an OGD & can't wait to toss it off a mountain. PS-please elaborate on BB Reward certs. How did you get them & how so many?

Looks like the Transformer Prime got a release date of December 9th...and it was just announced on the 8th of November. Sigh...

Over the past year I've bought a few expensive things at best buy that I couldn't find online cheaper (like a $1500 TV). If you have a best buy rewards card you get rewards certificates per $ spent. So over the past year I've spent enough at best buy to get about $1000 worth of best buy rewards, which I can spend on anything at best buy just like a gift card. The sweet thing is with the rewards I don't have to pay tax on the item.

So If the leaked best buy catalog is correct and the galaxy nexus(or as i prefer... nexus prime) is really $800 retail, then not only will it be outrageously overpriced since I can buy a tablet of far substantial power at a lower price(or even build a new PC or possibly buy a laptop), but I will also be able to afford the phone for a flat $800 just on my rewards. With the exception that I will have to pay 1 penny, because you have to use the rewards mixed with cash. So I will pay a penny and then tax on the penny... lol

All the VZW execs are on vacation until at least Monday. Nothing is being announced until at least DEC 1st at this point. So go and enjoy the Tanksgiving weekend with friends and family. If we don't hear something by Dec 8th, then we can get worried. Happy Turkey Day!

Yeah i am over this phone at this point. It comes when it comes. By the time its out here the others will be ready for an update to ICS

People may think its funny now. But wait until other people start posting the same thing. There will be 12 threads with convos like this about badgering CSR's about the phone. Opinions will go from "Funny" to "Really another thread?" just like the release threads. Same thing happened at one point with the Bionic as well.

the claim is that black Friday is when retail stores go "into the black" for the fiscal year. not only does this make no sense (really you're spending 3/4 of the year making no money?) it's also a lie. black is used to describe horrible events, for example black Tuesday is the day the stock market crashed, leading to the great depression. so yea, black Friday is named so because it is terrifying and awful.

Yeah I had said my plan is to stick to Nexus phones and after all this its obvious GSM carrier is the way to go. Just not sure Verizons LTE is worth being locked down on phones I use. Usually on WiFi anyway
