Verizon Note 4 users - where is our update???

How is it going from camera to gallery? Currently (without update) it's super laggy for me

I've not had a problem either before or after the 5.1.1 update.
I agree with others that response time seems peppier and my household wi-fi can be sluggish - far from the phone.

It still sucks for me. Definitely not as bad as 5.0.1, but there is lag. I didn't measure the lag but it's noticeable enough to complain about.

I've been noticing how instant it is on different people's s6. Feeling jealous. I don't even try anymore.

Camera to gallery transition has ways been slow for me but it seems to have been halved in my opinion.

Are you saving to an micro sd card or to the internal memory? Could you possibly, if saving to the card, have a very slow card?

The update bricked my Verizon Note 4. It's locked up on the update screen and will not reboot. Off to the Verizon store I go, love it...

...and you have your settings for photos so that images should go to the card?
I'm out of suggested fixes - hopefully someone else will come up with a fix for you.

So are you saving directly to phone and you experience no lag?

I have not tried to save direct to phone. I did contemplate saving to phone then transferring when needed but it seems so tedious to have to do that all the time.

I just tested it. It's a 2-3 second lag for still photos saving to card or phone. Same lag.

If I do burst (which saves to phone automatically) it's like 5-6 seconds lag

I'm still on 5.0.1

I don't consider 2-3 seconds a lot of lag! You should see the lag when I do a burst of pictures in my digital cameras!
If you set your images to a smaller size they will transfer faster.
I save to my card.

Just to be clear, you're talking about after you took a picture, and it's saved to the phone or card, accessing the gallery directly while still in the camera app yields those results you posted?

Exactly. I haven't done it that way regularly since I got this phone because of the lag. I use quickpic.

Shut. I got home this afternoon, checked for the update and it was there. I clicked to update later and then did a factory reset. This to avoid the upgrade with all my almost two hundred applications and having to wait for the upgrade to optimize all of them. Now the upgrade is no coming back. I guess I need to sit and wait until it shows up again. Or there is a way to get it sooner. Crap! TIA.

You could see if it shows up in Samsung Kies. Worth a shot.

So while I was at work, I saw a new download available and figure it was just security update....sure why not I'm thinking.

After a really long time and update was complete - I checked to see what was up. Well, to my absolute amazement, it said 5.1.1.

WTH just happened!!??

Well now a change log would be awesome and like many have already mention - don't expect 6.0 till late 2017. Haha unless VZW finally figured it out. We can only hope.

Thanks VZW.....I guess.
