I give up.. .none of the Verizon supervisors were able to add another year to my contract. (current contract expires 11/2016) However, I did get the 100 minutes. Apparently it is impossible to add another year of contract if the line is still in a contract.
Hmmm..... two of my tiered data lines have contract end dates of 8/2016 and 9/2016. If it's not possible to extend them at this time, why dont' I call Verizon again tomorrow AM and ask them to put 100-minute bonus on each of those two tiered data lines?

Or is this a risky move? Verizon is a bit YMMV corporation... they may screw something up?
