OXYGEN 3.0 AOSP ICS
Thanks for popdog123 for his work on the p500. While pushing the gmail fixes, i decided to sync with oxygen sources and my device folder, and it built Oxygen 3.0.
  • Oxygen is an AOSP source built ROM.
  • It's has minimal features unlike CM9 and AOKP.
  • Popdog123 got gmail whitescreen fixed and audio routing fixed.
  • Same fastcharge kernel from CAI, will need a separate toggle or adb commands to turn it on. I'll add the notification toggles later.
  • Launcher2
  • No dsp and no theme chooser.
  • Same sd-ext scripts as quattrimus
  • use mx player to watch vids
  • Will add more features later

Bugs
Bugs in build 1: OTA updater not working, videocam not working..fixed in patch 2, in the p500 thread, some have reported issues with certain apps not working with the gmail fixes. I will add more later. Test everything, I'll try to apply CAI fixes if something is broken

INSTALL
Install 1.Make sure you are on ZVD radio(sprint only), rooted, and custom recovery installed. Only Xionia, twrp, and drew's Cannibal recoveries are tested. 2.Boot into recovery and nandroid your setup as this is alpha and may not be a daily driver for most. 3.Now wipe Data, BOOT, SYSTEM, CACHE from recovery. 4.Flash the rom zip, 5.Flash gapps for ICS, 6.then reboot. First boot will be long. 7. If wifi doesnt turn on, turn it on and reboot. Old bug, but should be fixed now 8.Post any bugs or fixes you find here.

Patches
Build 1 circle battery patch. I probably won't do too many mods, This was done on UOTkitchen. It will say sprint on the notification window. . http://forums.androidcentral.com/at...0-ls670-zvd-circlebattery.o2.build1.patch.zip Patch2..includes camcorder fixes...Clock lag fix maybe... applied some patches from CAI, I only tested it with On Demand governor. Wipe cache and flash. Some other things to try.. uncheck and check automatic date and time, then cycle the airplane mode. View attachment clog.fix.Oxygen.build1.patch2.zip

kernels
Test 21 kept the best battery data and no clock lag.

Excellent! Thanks for including my little toggle of non-perfection :) I'm actually uploading one that has the manifest permissions fixed, which some have said is required for packaging into ROMs. I'll edit this post with the attachment once I throw it out there.

Edit: 1.3 uploaded. Nothing different from 1.2 except manifest permissions which I believe were edited manually before ROM integration :)

Excellent!!!! A Oxygen build!!!! :)

Epic Credits to you ;)

@Enzo, Fast charge force closes on me sometimes while typing. This was 1.2. Did 1.3 fix it?

No idea. I've never had it force close during typing... I use HydroROM, HTC_IME kbd....

it doesn't do any alarm manager stuff, just updates every 30 minutes (at least that's what google's docs say the xml file's setting does) as a "keep alive" but doesn't actually do anything from what I understand. The widget only does something when you touch it, and then it stops caring.

Hey Kraven,

Wow, you are totally hard at work!! For those of us on 'Cold-As-ICE', are there any compelling reasons why we would want to switch over to Oxygen? Just curious.

Thanks!

I might have to try this out some time. :) nice job kraven. That said, the only thing I can think of that this could have over CAI is since it's aosp based and has fewer customization options, it Possibly has a speed advantage. This is just a guess tho really.

I'd like to see some pictures of it :D

As of right now it virtually pure aosp in appearance. Most mods from aosp are performance not appearance (big exceptions being extended power menu and the upcoming notification power menu that kraven plans to add). I can tell you, from running a lot of aosp ROMs on my ns4g, the closer to pure android source the smoother it runs. This should hold true for this ROM as well. This rom makes me very excited for the optimus s community. Excellent work kraven!
