[6.25.11][ROM] BAMF Sense 3.0 GB RC3

My numbers are from speedtest.net the website, while phone is in desktop browsing mode.
Maybe the slow speeds you got were just the day/environment/slow network for some reason?
I dont check my speeds regularly, so i wouldnt know if they were slow for a few days or something.
Checked today bc of all the talk about slow speeds, and mine are totally normal.

The speed was the first thing I checked after flashing RC3 on Monday after having the issue on 2.0.5 and it been pretty consistent at 1-2 down and 1 up on both speedtest and speakeasy, of course it could just be the network though

After flashing 2.5 though im seeing 1-3 mbps down and 4-5mbps up on speedtest and upwards of 12 mbps down and 2-3 mbps up on speakeasy

Ill continue monitoring it for others FYI, hopefully someone else flashes MR 2.5 and sees similar results for now im content though

Just need to solve battery drain which is horrendous with the Imo lean kernel on my device

I thought I needed a screen off profile too, I used to always have one when I was on froyo, but ever since GB came around I never used one & my battery life has noticably improved. Also, did you clear battery stats and/or calibrate your battery after you flashed the rom?

ok well i swapped out the lean kernel i was using for dreamkernel_sense_2_3_0, no change still hogging battery, i'll get rid of my screen off profile, clear my battery stats, now how do i go about calibrating my battery?

Charge to 100 percent first, then reboot to recovery and select clear battery stats or download an app called battery calibration and just use that.


edit - btw dreamKernel is not likely to give you better battery life than the regular leankernel bc there are more features enabled that will probably draw more power.

Does anybody have wifi tether working with this rom? What kernel are you using? I can get wifi tether running but it will disconnect as soon as the screen shuts off.

you should let the battery run down all the way or as close as you can after you clear the stats at 100%, that's ideal.

Just run netflix for 2 hours with screen at 100% brightness and no wifi, it should get pretty low.

Yep...in Center City.

So now my contacts show their linked Facebook pics as usual and you can see the pics in the People Widget but now the pics are missing in the messages app.

Does anyone know how to fix that?

good idea, now playing fellowship of the rings 2 hours 58 minutes that better kill it cuz i aint staying up later than that my job starts to early lol

took about 3.5 hours of netflix (3 hours on wifi 30 min on 3G) to kill it, now lets see how well she holds up tomarrow

I am a complete noob at rooting so please bare with me if i sound slow. I have rooted on my macbook pro using Cory Streater's method which was surprisingly easy as pie. I downloaded rom manager and created a nandroid backup, wiped eerything and just flashed this incredible 3.0 Sense ROM and I have to say you guys are geniuses! Only deal now is, I have no radio signal, i'm figuring next step is to install radio mr2.5 or something like that am i right? Also, I have lost all my contacts and I can't use my verizon backup assistant cuz it keeps saying "Device provision not completed, please try again later". Also for some reason my Skype Video apk wont install anymore for some reason. Please help out guys and I'm sorry for being such a noob but we all have to start somewhere..lol. Thanks for the incredible Sense 3.0 ROM fellas!!

I think I get rid of the old Radio file... then download it again, and install the new file... it will overwrite the existing one. You didn't download or try to install anything else over the top of your new ROM did you???

****EDIT: IF that doesn't work you might look at downloading MR2.5... I've not had any issue with that radio, but that is me.

Silly question but do you have the battery door on?

Is mobile data and wifi on? Did you check the MD5? Wipe everything and redo the installs.

I've lost lte and 3g as well. I'm on Mr2 was on Mr2.5 yesterday.

Where do I get the froyo radio? I think I'm goingvback to bamf 1.6.3 till this gets worked out better.

I switched back to 2.5 and it seems to be working again although i'm still running at a much slower speed than froyo however it's negligible being that i'm still getting 9 down on a phone! i'm sure it will be back up to original speeds soon enough.

Ok so now I've got the radio up and my 3g and LTE are back. Now all I need are my contacts and the back up assist zip won't show in the app drawer even though I installed thru rom manager.

I have backup assistant in my app drawer by default with this rom. i have not used it though as i manually back up contacts to sd card.

ok i installed 3.0 the other day but mine said bamf stripped gb 3.0. is this the same one? or a different one?
