[7.14.11][ROM] Das BAMF Sense 3.0 RC4.9

Wondering about the Future for this ROM... DAS BAMF SENSE 3.0 RC4.9 on THunderbolt.

When and if Verizon comes out with the stock Gingerbread will Verizon Force Push their stock Gingerbread onto my Thunderbolt with this ROM installed? Or can I keep it?

IF NOT FORCE PUSHED will I lose FREE wifi tethering? I rarely use it anyway, but have in a pinch without shelling out $30 for the hotpsot...

While I guess it may not be impossible (or is it???), it's very unlikely Verizon could push an update if you're running this ROM. With all my experience with Verizon Android phones, you'll only get OTA updates if you're running the current stock OS.

As far as wifi tethering...who knows? Right now you can still use wireless tether apps, but we can only speculate about Verizon's ability and/or determination to put a stop to that. (Although either way, it's still against the TOS).

I have installed this ROM and am experiencing a couple of problems...please advise if you have any recommendations and/or experiencing the same issues.

1. The volume does not seem to be as loud as the stock version of the TB. This could just be in my head; however, it has happened several times so I thought that I would ask.
2. Answering phone calls -- there have been too many times already (about 24 hours) where I go to answer a phone call and it only shows the END option. The call is not yet answered, but it only shows the option to end a call (while it keeps ringing). I am stuck without a way to answer it. This one is very troublesome, in particular.

One other question -- do any of you recommend changing the CPU settings within the Das BAMF toolkit?

I just installed this rom last night and I'm having issued with constant syncing and the gaaps procedure being forceclosed almost every time I wake the phone. Anyone have any ideas what's going on and what I can do to fix it? Thanks!

I may have forgot to mention that I am using an extended battery too... I have never ever had a ROM eat that much battery life... Now I am on db stripped 2.1 But it won't send MMS, which I use everyday...

Figures.... nothing ever runs good for me... I really with SkyRaider Would make a ROM for the thunderbolt... that was my fav ROM when I had my Incredible

I know this sounds crazy, but turn on the wifi. I have been getting 10 hours on an extended battery 3500mah which is best for me. With wifi unchecked my battery drains quicker... much quicker.

I installed the default text to speech that came up. Worked fine.

I tried that and it says it couldn't find the app in the app store. a link would be cool.

I absolutely love this ROM on my TB. Only problem I'm having is since I flashed, I have no wifi. After scanning and connecting to a wifi signal, I am still getting no internet on the phone at all including widgets and browser. Is there anything I can do?

As much as I would love to read through this whole gigantor thread, I'll just ask:

Are the same patches and whatnot available for this version of the ROM anywhere? Transparent drop-down menu and the such. I still have my six signal bars (for some reason awesome to me), but the Volume rocker turns on the screen which is a somewhat big deal. Not game breaking by any means, but noticeably annoying.

Awesome ROM though. Improving on what was already ridiculously good. Always a positive thing!

Go to the BAMF settings app and there is a box that you can uncheck "wake on volume keys," should take care of that last issue.

Is anyone else getting daily reboots? It is rare i actually catch it rebooting, but if i look at battery status I never see the up time over 12hrs. Right now it is at 9 and I was surprised to see that. It is not impacting my use, but I still find it odd.

Just flashed and installed. Seems pretty stable not seeing any lag, but getting a few force closes, mainly with verizon backup assistant. Overall very good ROM, nice work, especially with the sense 3.0 aspects

Did you install the new versions of the radio? MR 2.0 or better should work, but anything earlier than version 2.0 won't work at all.

can anyone recommend the most similar rom like this in which the voicemail works? I loved the rom once I got everything going but the voicemail not working was really a deal breaker unfortunately.

Why do people still use the stock voice mail? Roms should be made to break the stock voicemail. Google voice or you mail, welcome to the 21st century.

Did you go in to the settings to change? It gives options to select what type of lockscreen to use (weather background, shortcuts/no shortcuts...).
