Dang it! I was going to debate you on this until you said there is no debate.
LOL... Fortunately I was being facitious. I'm a total Android boy.

If you are talking about the high end smartphone market share there is zero debate, Apple rules the high end market. Samsung has increased their percentage in the higher margin phones and increased their ASP but it does they are behind Apple.Dang it! It's definitely interesting. But camera, software, display, support. These 4 things need to be proven. As the thread starter I feel the need to come back and say , What say you now??? This phone looks incredible. Aside from the S pen it has everything the Note 8 has and even better. Awesome improved DAC, Wide angle lens vs useless zoom lens on note 8, crazy manual controls and modes for video never seen on a smartphone, faster and more accurate face unlock based off early impressions, same size battery as note 8 with a smaller 6 inch screen, and they have given everyone wireless charging in every region as well as the standard IP68. At around $700 which is the predicted price, unless you got the Note 8 for $550 with the Note 8 promo, the v30 looks like the better buy. Will use the Note 8 until the v30 releases then ill JUMP to it.
The V20 had a lot of the same hardware anf software features as the Note 7, yet the V20 paled in comparison overall. As the thread starter I feel the need to come back and say , What say you now??? Right now the only advantages obvious over Samsung are the DAC and the alleged support for T-MOBILE new spectrum.
Yep, I'm just waiting for some serious review with final hardware. As well as quick charge 3.0 vs 2.0, more comfortable form factor, and better battery since its the same capacity in a smaller display. I would also say wide angle lens is far more useful than a 2x zoom lens. Cant forget the biggest advantage which is PRICE. This is expected to come in at the $700 price point which would be $230 cheaper than the note 8.
It will be interesting how the v30 is priced. The v20 was $770 on T-Mobile and i believe $670 on Verizon. Given the additions on the v30, i wouldn't be surprised to see it priced higher than previous models.
Look, friend, you don't need US to validate your V30 plans. But in a forum full of note 8 users and fanatics, your message carries no weight.

I can see your point but the story isn't told on paper. Yes, on paper the V30 is comparable in many areas. The V20 was also comparable in many areas to the Note 7, but the overall experience lacked significantly. The launcher wasn't as good as Samsung's so I used Nova. The highly vaunted camera was overrated. The battery life was terrible and started to deteriorate and shut down at 15% only 5 months into ownership. Looking at the paper stats, yes the two were very similar. But paper stats only go so far. I doubt the V30 is going to be any different. LG phones are what they are at this point. And until they make some serious improvements they will remain a tier or two behind Samsung.I never needed, or was looking for validation. As I currently have a note 8 on preorder I have every right to express my opinion and comparisons between the 2. Im excited to get my Note 8 but I cant ignore that aside from the S pen there really isn't anything setting them apart and a $230 difference for an S Pen isn't something that seems logical.
