Anyone going to upgrade from the S20 Ultra to the Note Ultra?

Good question. I upgraded from the Note because I was interested in the larger screen, higher refresh rate and improved camera. I could go either way on the S Pen. The Ultra is a beast but it's specs are better than the phone itself. The refresh rate is a battery killer and the camera is frustrating to use. Hopefully Samsung creates a better integrated package this time around. I was very close to just keeping the Note 10 Ultra as there are definitely aspects i prefer to the Ultra.
These are very similar for me. If not for the solid trade in of the Note 10+ I would have never went for it either. I haven't had as horrible a camera experience as some, but it has caused me to miss some shots that I feel like the Note 10 would have captured. For me, it all depends on the trade in value for the ultra. If it makes sense I'll definitely go back to the note series even though my s-pen use was very limited.

Does the Note 20 Ultra have the exact same size screen as the S20 Ultra?

I'm so tempted to pre order but trying not to.

My time between upgrades is getting shorter. Way back when I would pay $299 and sign for two years. So I went the iPhone 4 to the 5 to the 6+ to the 7+. Then it turned into basically a 1 year lease, 7+ to the X to the XS Max to the S20U. Now the S and Note line release 6 months apart, ugh. Making my life difficult.

Yeah....I'm right there you but I'm running both. My cycle is now trading S for S and Note for Note. Leaning towards sticking with the Note but I enjoy running the S as it feels like a prototype for the Note. I also enjoy keeping the Note as backup when the S comes out and vice versa.

Good plan

That's always been the case with the S and Note series. March for S and August August for the note.

If I could get a good trade in deal or sell my S20 ultra for a good bit of the money I'd consider a move to the Note Ultra even though my s pen use is limited I always prefer the squarer note shape.

However with the rumours of the Note Ultra only having a 4500mh battery (500 less than the Ultra to accommodate the pen) I will need to see how this works on battery life, I know Samsung are using some power saving screen for the Note Ultra but will wait and see I certainly don't want to change to a phone with worse battery life.

10 percent less shouldn't impact anyone's usage to the point where it's a deal breaker. Even if you are a heavy user and have no access to electricity the extra 500mAh isn't a great difference. The current Note 10+ is 4300 and battery life is exceptional so if the screen is more efficient in the Note 20 Ultra, I think we will be fine.

If you use the Note 20+ on medium power saving mode and FHD resolution, it should make up for the difference in battery capacity compared to the S20 Ultra.

I can't see anyone dropping a ton of money on the Note 20 Ultra, only to gimp performance so it can match the battery performance of the S20 Ultra. Why buy it at all then? If the screen is as efficient as they are claiming it should be good to go. It only a 10 percent drop in capacity anyway. If you can't get through the day with 4500mAh, you won't with 5000mAh either.

Agree 100%. I'm going to bounce back to the note 20 ultra and stick with that. They are getting to expensive to upgrade that much, got the note 10+, then the 20 ultra, both 512 GB versions. I can't justify doing that anymore at these prices. I'm using the note 10+ now as the ultra fell off the car dash and of course fell screen first on a metal bar. Fortunately I had insurance on it so new one will be here tomorrow.

It will happen in just a few weeks. Believe it are not there are a lot of people outside of this forum that are interested in it's release.

Guess I could eBay the 512GB S20 Ultra and just eat the difference and go for the 512GB Note 20 Ultra.
I'm still on the fence though.
