BATTERY SUCKS AFTER FROYO UPDATE !!!

I don't even think I've got the update to FB and my battery still stinks after this update. Is the update to the FB that comes with the phone/OS or the one from the market? I did my usual tweaking like i was using with 2.1 but still battery life is dropping by the minute! I've also tried some of these suggestions 20 tips to improve HTC EVO 4G battery life

i hard reset my phone yesterday again and after 20hrs it just hit %15 now, so I am back on par with where I was.
This is without crippling my phone like prior posts suggest.

When I go to the "Battery Use" in About Phone, it says that my Android System is at 81%. This can't be good. My phone has not been charged for 20hrs and standby and phone idle are the same percentage. Any ideas for a solution to this?

I have tried every tip on the forum and did hard reset last night. I still have horrible battery life. Before the update I would get 14-16 hrs on a charge with exchange set as items arrive and using the weather widget, sports tap widget, and the calendar widget. Now after update I lose 20% an hour, and that is with exchange updating hourly and no widgets. I have also tried every fix on this forum and hard reset to no avail. Can I cry UNCLE now?

ok so update. . . i got a little over 22 hrs before plugging it in today. was at 12% when plugged in.

I looked at the partial wake locks and they are down very considerably. Android shows a tiny bar and email shows a tiny bar. Rest barely viewable. So I feel better.
Wake times are significantly down too compared to uptime.

I had LED light uninstalled before, but I completely removed even the backup source from the SD card just for giggles.

Email sync ever 5mins, weather 3 hrs, facebook once a day ( i refresh as I use it in the app)
Always on data turned on, GPS turned on.
Gtalk signed out and not used. News and weather sync removed in the app (you must do this or it refreshes like hourly on default) stocks removed (syncs like hourly or shorter) and news removed from sync.

I have normally pretty high TWS too since I work in a bunker. So I see like %20-75 TWS so my batt could even get better.
Phone vibrates alot at work cuz I keep on vib too.

So this I can deff deal with.

Mine since the update is worse. Even in airplane mode its draining.

HTC weather widget is broke. Google maps doesnt work everytime. But it has alot of other stuff thats better. But the battery life is worse for me.

It's not Froyo, it's the updated facebook app.

My battery consumption is roughly the same, maybe slightly worse. I was hoping for improvements in battery life with the Froyo update. Kinda disapointing really.

I think this is just one of many possibilities. When I go to battery usage details, facebook isn't even listed, and I do use it once in a while. I play robo defense, which I played before the update, and my battery life is not quite as good as it was before. I know others with the EVO that don't use facebook at all and their battery life seems worse to them also.

Yea, not too many people here even updated the facebook app. It can be one of the problems if installed, but not if its not.

I beg to differ considering it dropped before 2.2 released. Plus once you had 2.2 installed, it's set to automatic update in the Market.

Doesnt the new facebook app look completely different?
I saw some screenshots and review on the main page. Sounded like you would know if it was updated.

I don't feel like reading through this whole thread (or any of these long *** threads on this site), but i can say that you should look at your awake time/up time. I was having horrible experiences since updating.... and i found thing like battery left and fringe would not shut off. I could put the phone down for 30 minutes and come back and awake and up time still the same. I manually terminated battery left and fringe and got the phone to finally sleep.

Just drop the apps and run straight when you get hard life loads from call!

Also... i use GTalk, so i have it sign in automatically... i use it like BBM and i keep data enabled always. I get about 12 hours now...

i have .3 and was running normal battery drain until recently...
recently being facebook's update apparently after trying everything.
My battery died after 4 hours with out use (in night school)

turned off facebook's notifications and now my battery life is back to it's original full day in moderate use. results may vary but the LED torch ligh widget had no effect on my battery so i kept it.

Solved my 2.2 (version.3) battery Problem

battery was draining at least 50% by itself while i was at work...( no calls and a couple of text messages) I looked around and noticed after the new update, the 4G antenna was on... I also turned off Google Talk and I was at work all day and only used about 10-20% of the battery.

Since the 2.2 update I have turned offf sync for everything, google, exchange, news, stocks, weather, unchecked auto sync and background data, turned off always on mobile data. Set Gtalk to not sign in, did not install facebook update and don't have facebook account anyway. I turned off bluetooth,gps,wifi. I am getting about 3 hrs on a charge now, and the strange thing is that the arrows under my 3g icon stay lit constantly even after power off and back on. I have not installed any apps since hard reset. I am at a loss, any ideas? I would appreciate any help.
