Under running applications... what do you see?
I am in the EXACT same situation as you. I'm on the official OTA update and have noticed a substancial difference in battery life since upgrading yesterday morning. I can't even make it through a workday without the battery getting below 20% and I've barely been using the phone. I'm glad I am not the only one. I also don't feel that I should have to tweak all my phone settings and cripple features that I've grown accustomed to after using them in 2.1. I hope they come up with a fix for this soon. I'll try uninstalling the "LED Light" app too and see if that helps any.
Just to update everyone in this post... A hard reset fixed all my issues after the update. I'm back to loving my evo and enjoying froyo!! And getting at least 24 hours out of the battery.![]()
sorry, but whats a .3 and .6?
No problemok, thanks i was initially thinking that, but wasnt sure.
Just wanted to gauge how the rest of you were seeing your battery performance after making the 2.2 upgrade.
I pulled mine off the charger yesterday morning at about 7:00 am, and still have 30% left. This is with lots of Twitter, Facebook, 4Square and email. Light to moderate (at best) internet.
Anyone else having good experiences with battery life?
Ok, so I didn't get great battery life after the Froyo update it was pretty terrible with up time and awake time being exactly the same. So I called Sprint and I told them that there was a problem with my contacts syncing in my Gmail account so they tried fixing it and it didn't work, but they gave me another possible fix that would wipe out everything and well this fix worked flawlessly. Yes, I had to fix all my setting and Scenes but thats ok. I also did not upgrade my Facebook app as per Sprints advice. They said wait till Facebook comes up with an update to their app. I was able to get 19 hours of battery life (at that point there was still three bars left before I finally went to bed) with moderate usage Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Multiple games, Engadget App, web browsing and phone usage.
Right now I am going on 7 hours with only 10% of the battery being depleted. It must have been all those silly apps that I downloaded. I am not using an Advanced Task Killer, in the past I used to use one but not any more. Give your phone a chance and check your setting on all your apps to make sure they aren't polling unless you ask them to do so. I am only downloading apps that dont say will prevent your phone from sleeping. Its making a major difference.
Hope this helps some of you.
