BestBuy: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

They've always said that we could do returns online or in store. What game are they playing?

Our stores cannot do a return or exchange on the Note 8 yet.

Because the phone isn’t available for us to sale yet (In-store) our registers and the computers we use to activate the phones, will not process the Note 8 at all in store.
 
So I got my verizon black note 8 in the mail yesterday. It only came in a plastic envelope so the bottom part of the phone box is busted. The phone itself seems to be ok but I haven't powered it on as I didn't have time to set it up and didn't want to activate it yet. Would you guys exchange it as the box got damaged in transit or if the phone functions fine, you would just let it go?
I would check the device first since you'll have to send it back to exchange and they might give you grief if it's just the box. I can only imagine what mine will look like without shipping in a box inside a box. Envelope shipping is just another reason to buy from anyone other than BB.

Hi question I bought a unlocked N8 and got $50 off with purchasing a $40 Cricket refill card and $10 universal sim .
Can I return the SIM get my $10 back and not get charged more for the phone? The refill card I can use

Nothing really new here, but I went to my BB store over lunch. They said that the store had a meeting this morning, and the plan is the stick with the 15th for in-store pickup. He said if the decide to allow for early pickups, it would only be 1 day early (i.e. Thursday).

I'm not 100% sure on if you can even return sim cards. Because we have no way of finding out if the sim has been activated etc. I know we cant return Top Up Cards. I would say check on the store on this one....sorry
 
Verizon agreed to buyout my S7E, which saved me $460 or switching to Sprint, so I popped into BB to cancel my Sprint pre-order. I really thought about just upgrading on the Verizon app and getting my new phone overnighted so I'd have it tomorrow, but decided to do the order through BB in order to save an additional $150 off the price of the phone. That plus the 1/2 off is absurdly cheap for the Note 8, and worth waiting until next week for in-store pickup.

That's what I keep telling myself.
 
I went to my bb store a couple hours ago, they told me they didn't have them there but their delivery trucks come in Monday's. They said they were going to release them the minute they have them in stock. She said possibly Tuesday at the earliest

Incorrect. I work at a Best Buy and we have had the phones for almost 2 weeks now but we have not been given the OK to start selling the phones. I'm hoping we can launch this weekend because at this point we are already late to the game and I'm sensing pre-order cancellations.
 
Yes I read that Verizon is selling out the door at corporate stores.
Not at my local Verizon store. They were surprised I had one. They did sell me their tempered glass screen protector.

I was at Best Buy last night to ask some questions and to of the employees almost fell out of their chairs when they saw my Note 8.
 
My order status just updated to shipped. I can't wait till it gets here!

Congrats! I'm so tempted to cancel my Orchid Gray and order black. I can wait until the 15th if I have to, even though it's frustrating, but I'll be bummed if gray ends up back ordered or something and I don't get it until long after the 15th.
 
Why are some BB orders coming overnight, some 2nd day, and some 3 day ground? I'm a BB elite+ customer All of my BB orders are supposed to come free shipping, 2nd day air. This pkg( Note 8), was shipped UPS ground and it's taken 4, yes 4 days to get here- it's currently on the truck. what's going on here? #no logic
I know locally our pre orders are being sent from the local store. I confirmed that last night.
 
Cancelled my in store BB pick up preorder yesterday (Verizon- midnight black) at noon. Ordered online through BB and UPS delivered this morning at 11am. Not sure what ya'll waiting on. Seems like it worked for me to cancel preorder and go through BB online.

When did yours change from preparing to shipped? I canceled my in store preorder yesterday around 7pm and ordered from BB online at 9pm and it still says preparing.
