Also do you know what time it is supposed to begin? I am in eastern time.
Its set for 10am PT. So, 12PM central and 1PM eastern. They haven't posted the link yet. When it's available you should be able to find it here: newsroom.t-mobile.com

Re: happy or not

Where these people just giving them away just because they can. The ones I saw were asking about $300.

They were getting unlimited data from adding lines on Apple. There was a large supply at the time of unlimited data lines. People had a hard time giving them away. Since then the supply had become limited again driving the prices up. Classic example of supply and demand.

You have to keep your eyes peeled. If it comes around again, don't expect it to be free for long

Re: happy or not

So what you are saying is you can go on apples website order a phone and get it with unlimited data. is it still possible to do you have a shot this one out now. I could purchase in theory and iPhone 6 online activate it swap it with my current phone and sell the new iPhone. What do y'all think?

No, that loophole was closed awhile ago.

Re: happy or not

Does this mean that assumption of liability does not even exist anymore? I know I had to do that when switching my phone from one account to another about a year or two ago.

Officially Verizon will switch unlimited plans to tiered when assuming liability. Unofficially people are still getting them plans transferred.

You could on new iPhone orders. This is no longer valid.

There are no known loop holes at this time to get a new line w/ unlimited on Verizon.

Re: Samsung s3

Well, I've been using my S3 for almost 3 years now, and still see no reason to update. Will probably use it for another year at least, unless it dies on me.

Re: Samsung s3

The S3 is a good phone. It was the last Galaxy S phone that I have owned. And I believe it's running KitKat which is what my Note 4 is running.

Note in my house!

You can still assume liability anytime. Just that Verizon will make you move to 2 current plan. As with most things Verizon, ymmv. Sometimes, some reps might not follow policy and let you keep unlimited data on AOL

Really hating being in a contract right now

Okay everyone here is the deal. I signed a new two-year contract to get an iPhone 5s which I have since decided I do not want. I went on Amazon and picked up my samsung galaxy s3 which I really love. I took the phone back to Verizon and traded it in and got a little money for it around $200. This is nothing compared to what the phone is worse especially since I only had it for 2 months. I paid $30 for the privilege of upgrading that phone. I paid $100 upfront for that phone. here is where my frustration comes to play. It is regarding the line access charge for my phone that is in a one gigabyte family plan. I pay $40 for my line every month. The problem is and what upsets me to no end is that if I had not gotten that phone it would be $25 per line for my line. So what I am trying to say is that now that I have done this and gotten the new phone and giving it back to Verizon Wireless in the long run I am out a lot of money for no reason. I do not particularly care about being in a contract and I will never buy another phone or subsidy anyway. What really really upsets me is the fact that I am paying an extra $15 per month for absolutely no reason whatsoever just to feel they're greedy pockets. I have been with Verizon for a long time and really like their service over all except for the fact that because we are both in contact right now we are paying 100 and $10 per month for 2 phones with only one gigabyte of data and they give us a second gigabyte of data for free. I really really can't stand paying extra money for nothing. It is truly ridiculous and if there is some way I can get out of it I intend to do so. Do you all have any ideas and can you share in my being upset with this particular situation. I have talking to many reps about it and have gotten various credits here and there.

Re: Really hating being in a contract right now

I'd call the retention department and tell them that they have you for 2 years, then you're gone. You're using your own device, so you shouldn't be paying the monthly payment for the phone. If they don't agree with you, they lost a customer.

When my sister-in-law died, my wife tried to up her minimal plan because she had to make so many calls. Verizon wouldn't budge. We're not on Verizon any more. If they don't want me as a customer, I don't want them as a carrier. (AT&T actually apologizes when they have to replace your phone because it stopped working. It's like the tech had a personal hand in breaking it.)
