canceled Huawei order, went thru google.
So after waiting forever with no communication from Huawei (4 messages sent, none returned, never able to do a chat) I canceled my order for the 32gb model. I got my Fi invite yesterday so I went and signed up and got my 64gb silver ordered. I did the affirm option with Huawei and it was going to be 54 bucks a month for a year. With the minimum plan from Google Fi (30 for plan, 22 for phone) it was basically the same price and more storage. I know it's 24 months vs 12 months but I'm assuming in can pay the phone off faster either by just paying it off or canceling Fi and paying off the remainder of the phone since I have verizon now I plan on using. I'll def give Fi a shot and see if it works. I get 10gb of data and unlimited for 75 a month thru verizon so it's def a better value.
One thing I was wondering if anyone knows is since I don't get charged for Fi until activate my sim, could I just not activate the sim and just pay the 22 for the phone a month? With the idea of overpaying to pay it off quickly and just have the Fi sim around just in case I decide to cancel my verizon?
Also Google said there was about 2-3 weeks ship time on the alum 64gb. Sounds like that turn around is actually a bit faster though based on what people are reporting?
