Finally downloaded. It works great! Quick question, how do I get rid of that green dot in the middle? I know it moves with the screens, but I dont like it...lol

Back everything up.


From the command prompt:

adb pull /system/app/Rosie.apk

In your SDK/tools folder will be the file Rosie.apk. Open it with 7zip, and find the /res/drawable-480x320/ folder. Inside is the file common_mainnav_scroller1.png.
Open that file with any graphics editor, and make it fully transparent.
Don't try to substitute another image if you can't/don't know how to resign the apk.
Copy the edited png file back inside the ROsie.apk file and overwrite the old one.

Push the file back to your phone:

adb remount
adb push Rosie.apk /system/app/Rosie.apk
abd reboot

Phone will reboot and the green indicator will be gone.

Got it, I downloaded GIMP and made it transparent. And I just rebooted and it worked! Thanks for your help! One more question if you dont mind, but where can I find the Blue Espresso theme to use instead of the green?

Not sure. The only ones I know are the ones at xda and I'm not sure if they are compatible. What I did was grab the one someone made and transfer graphics over inside the apk.

That way I didn't have to worry about any other ways the original apk they used for the theme may have been altered.

Worked great for me. Had some widgets and apps that wouldn't load at first, but uninstalling and reinstalling the associated apps took care of it.

I was just wondering; do any of the ROMs for Hero have BFS, or do only Magic and Dream ROMs get that?

So you didn't wipe and it 'mostly' worked? great news.

BFS ,swap on sd and other tricks aren't in any Hero ROMs yet. Wouldn't be that hard to port them over I imagine (once kernel sources are released and a decent kernel is built), but with the Hero running @528 and having the ram boost makes them unnecessary for now.

LOL. Yep I had to move away from Loudon County taxes. Best thing I ever did, and the extra 20 minutes on the commute to Baltimore once a week is well worth it.

And the rumours aren't true. Everyone here isn't related, both legs are the same length and most have all their teeth

gbhil, just thought Id let u know I just flashed your ROM from Fresh 1.1 WITHOUT wiping and everything is working PERFECT so far!! Great work!!! Still testing all my apps but so far so good!!! Thanks for a great rom!!!
