Update: It seems like I have to go in every time and refresh SetCPU to bring the CPU speed back up. Is that how it's working with other people's?

Yes. Our (heroc) kernel source needs debugged to work 100% with or without setcpu. I've got an idea to fix it in the ROM if the setcpu dev doesn't have any ideas for us. More details in the kernel thread.

Applied your ROM over Fresh 1.0 without wipe after reading the posts and had no problems at all. Love this Rom. Runs smoothe and I applied all my tweaks that I used with my other ROMs with no problems either. I have a request, though, and you seem to be the man to go to. I've seen the Google Live Wallpapers working on the Sprint Hero using ASOP, but I prefer yours or Fresh. Is there any way you could import it? Just wondering. Thanks for all the hard work, gbhil.

Live wallpaper needs libraries built on 2.0 or higher. I've got it to run on 1.6 without force closing, but it didn't do anything, I think we have squeezed all we are going to be able to from 1.5 and now it's time to work the kernel.

So far so good with this kernel. I did have a fc issue with sense of all things. I may wipe and reflash gumbo and put the kernel back on. My battery is so so. I've had issues with it prior anyways.

for the force close issue i found that using these commands can clear cache following by rebooting the phone and everything is smooth afterward...

rm -r /data/boot-cache/
rm /data/dalvik-cache/

Use the add ons from the first page until next version. I'll be incorporating the new kernel + fixes likely next weekend.

Rosie has been reworked, runs very fast and uses the new Expresso style interface.


A wipe is suggested before installing, because of the new build scripts. If you choose not to wipe, note that many apps have been placed in the /data/ directory for easy future upgrade. At a minimum all caches must be wiped. Note that prior versions are no longer supported, please update to latest before reporting bugs.

Yes. Sprint VVM is not in the ROM. The sprintcore is there, so it's possible pushing the apk to the phone will be all that's needed. If not, I'll investigate.

It has several shared libraries, and would need to be assembled by a ROM cooker or each file individually pushed to the phone. Installing the apk won't work.

Perfect. Looks like all the libs are in place and any cucpcake rom for a phone with an onboard gpu should run it just fine.

Yes that's a known issue. Pushing voice search back will not fix it, as some speech libraries are also missing. It will be corrected in the next release.
