Okay I reflashed this and everything seems to be working fine!

Good deal!

Hey gbhil, somewhere I heard that you had a 1.5c version out of your gumbo rom. Is that your latest project?

I have a kernel test ROM that uses the settings and services from the 1.5c I'm working on. It's far from a complete ROM, but it seems to work well.

Status report:

Flashed Gumbo 1.5c yesterday. Haven't had a better battery experience with any other ROM besides this last one. It runs great and my battery percentage right now is 75% or so after slight/moderate usage turning off the Mobile Network/WIFI/GPS when not in use. It has been 16 hours or so since disconnect from wall charger.

I have experienced a slight lag with this last Gumbo 1.5c release compared to other ROMs when using the Gumbo-31-kernel. Also I did experience a OMADM process com.htc.android.omadm is not responding warning.

Right now, its one of the best if not the best ROM I have used.

Trying to find the sweet spot between lag, and closing processes like OMDAM :) WHat you have was mostly to test the kernel and new module when i have control over all of the startup services. Looks like it's working much better in many areas.

my cube always force closes when I try to play videos.... they are on mp4 format.. does the cube even play vids?

It does here, but that doesn't mean much. Any other formats work?

He posted a new zip on XDA that appears to be his test release of what will become 1.5c. I'm not sure if it's official yet.

Read above. It's just a "dummy" ROM using the 1.5c init.rc and other settings to test the kernel. Seems to work pretty well though.

bluetooth :(

try that mirror

I'll have a look. Is anyone else experiencing this?

If you could -
What type of headset?
Do calling functions work fine with the headset?
Does speakerphone work for you?
Does a wired headset work?

Bluetooth not working on mine either, I tried both my headsets, Motorola s9 and the jaybird. My wired headset works, but I hate running with wires. Speakerphone works fine.

I wanted to add the screen doesn't shut off during a call for me either. Other then that everything is great.

I have three quick questions about this rom. Can you customize and change the apps that are associated with the cube app? How does this rom compare to modaco or fresh in terms of speed of use(not internet speed). How does this rom compare to the modaco or fresh in terms of power drain?

can I have the cube apk? I can't find it anywhere. its not in the 1.5c rom... thanks!

Just because you asked... Here is the .apk file.

Hotfile.com: Cube.zip

Unzip the file, and drag the .apk file onto your sdcard and install with your phone file manager.

To be honest; the only person that can answer these questions are yourself. YMMV depending on which ROM you use, with that said, I've used Modaco's and Fresh's ROM both for at least 2 weeks and I've found that Gumbo, for me personally is the best. It's stable and extremely smooth and I like the features it has. There all great ROM's, with exceptional work done by there creators!

Guys - I've got an update, but it won't get posted until tomorrow at the earliest. Internet and electricity keep bouncing on and off. Stupid snow.

Cant wait for the update! Im rocking 1.5c right now for the last week and no issues at all!

Gumbo 1.5C test status report:

Battery life still amazing even with mobile network always ON. One thing I have noticed is that when compared to 1.5b or any other ROM with the new Gumbo Kernel, this latest 1.5c version displays less free RAM after several hours of usage. 1.5C goes down to 30-40 while the rest with Gumbo Kernel stay 50-60 after a few hours. I'm using same apps.

That wasn't 1.5c. Please read the entire post @xda :)

That was just a test built in the Gumbo 1.5c folder to try out some cpu parameters and test wifi. It got posted along with a note that it's just a test, and there will be no support for the ROM.

1.5c is ready, and will be up in just a bit. 36" of snow and spotty power and internet slowed progress down.

I've requested this thread be closed.
