I'm a total Nexus S fanboy. Ask away

So, how will the Google Voice integration work on this phone. I'm using it on my Pre right now, and I'm not crazy about not being able to access old voicemails through the phone. I can access it via the browser, but it will not playback voicemails.

Does the GV app give you full visual voicemail type access?

yep, better quality than Sprint's as well. The Sprint VVM server compresses the audio so much to save data (the phone has to download the message) that it's "tiny" sounding. So yes, you get full VVM, and yes you can access any messages old or new right through the GV app, plus you get the better sound quality.

Win/win IMHO

It's my understanding that the Sprint version either will ship with 2.3.4, or update as soon as your turn it on and connect to a data source. Needs the "WiMax Stuff" Google has added.

Wallpaper is attached, it's just a black square. The clock is beautiful widgets. Don't remember which skin though.

Thanks for the info. But would love it if you could please find the exact name of that skin on Beautiful Widgets ? I love the color green, and how it is tucked up in the right corner.

Thank you

If you buy or already own Beautiful Widgets, and then look at the free theme packs online, it is like looking at your photo gallery on your phone and you can simply pick from there - I mean I don't think it could be easier - I could understand the difficulty, if they were scattered about, but the last time I looked, they were all there photo gallary style. Who knows, you might find something better that you like.

My question is how is the keyboard. Right now I'm using the palm pre and haven't had a virtual keyboard ever. Will it work just as well? Does it take some time to get used to.

I wonder the same thing about the keyboard. Having never had a virtual keyboard I don't know what to expect. My husband just got the Epic and it has both a physical and virtual and I found the virtual keyboard a little hard to understand. I have seen pictures of the Nexus' keyboard and it reminds me of the iPad one in its simplicity.

Switched from a Pre to the Evo last Summer - being a long time Treo user before that - one of my concerns was about getting used to the virtual keyboard. After a week or so I found myself at home with it. Got the Epic to have a physical keyboard but found no use for it once I got it - used the virtual keyboard on the Epic as well.

If you are moving to the Nexus and Android, stop thinking in terms of WebOS, you will find many features and functions between the two to be similar, others are not. You will need to be open minded and be willing to find/use other tools to duplicate functionality on Android. I have found most of what I use to do with my Treo and Pre I can do with Android. The best thing is there are things I couldn't do with either Treo or Pre that I can with Android. Is a different OS, you need to move on from WebOS and allow yourself to get comfortable with Android.

Thanks AndroidOne. I have been reading alot of the how to's on the forums and I'm pretty certain everything I can do on my pre I can do on the Nexus S. Which is why I'm so open minded to this switch. As much as I love WebOS I just need new hardware that works and works well. Can't wait for Sunday.

AndroidOne, do you have a wallpaper for the Nexus that matches your cool black and gray avatar ?

Windows 7 USB drivers. I can't seem to find them. Do you know where I can download them?

Can you enable Facebook sync on the nexus s? I got mine, but I will return it if i cant figure out how to.

Anybody with a "Sprint" Nexus S, could you take a picture or give me the part number that is on the battery? I ask because I believe my old Sprint Samsung Moment may use the same batteries.

I am hope the part number is: AB653850CA 1440mah or AB653850CABSTD 1500mah.

If it is the same, you Nexus owners could buy the Sprint Samsung Moment batteries for 1/3 the price :)

The only way to do that is with the SDK. But don't worry -- you don't need the JDK or to even set up the SDK and emulator. The hardest part is installing the Windows driver.

Come the fifth, I'll get with someone with one in hand and we'll have something easy and well explained to follow, and once someone (probably Koush) builds a custom recovery everything will be ready for it.

Ok I got my NS4G! How do I install the drivers Windows driver?

At this time Google I'd taking a stand against Facebook. They have disabled sync with Facebook. Facebook will install and you can use it but you will not be able to sync your contacts. There is an article mentioning this in one of the other threads.
