The bluetooth headset works. I don't know about sending or receiving files. If you send me "How to do that 'idiot instructions' I will try it for you!"

Also, I just put my ATT sim in so I'll compare battery life to the 2-3 days I get on Froyo.

Will this kernel improve the performance of the stock Froyo ROMs? Like this one. Will I my quadrant score still be higher and can I overclock?

Going on a short business trip, so I just need the battery life and stability until I get back... and have awesome gingerbread again

Makes sense. I tell ya, the original cm7 that was posted has been the most stable and battery lasts just as long as stock for me. My .02.

i agree! but sides the com.android.phone error, which can be removed by sqlites app though. CyanogenMMat seemed fine but I had major battery drain so i went back to cm7 2.3.7!

not noticeable difference but i did make some changes on the cpu and u can overclock and apply tweaks.

I don't know if it helps at all, but try a render effect like N1 Cool in the cyanogen settings, it may look a touch weird, but its possible this could have a small effect on battery life? worth a shot anyways. I've been running it on n1 cool, and it looks ok i don't know if it impacts the battery at all, but i do get 19 hrs depending on usage. Running gingercrust 1.3

Ok just to clear something up here. Is the general consensus that the stock CM7 using Joban's kernel is the way to go except for the com.android.phone error. I see that there is the SQLite fix for it but is the fix permanent or is this something you have to keep going in an using to correct the issue? If its a one time fix couldn't someone just install CM7 fix the error and make a copy of their ROM to upload to everyone and we can call it a day on the different ROM's.

im with ya donavan... though i do appriciate and understand the fun of flashing diff roms and playing around. though it would be nice to have a solid, stable rom to go back to. i suppose there are some out there that just want to get a kick ass rom and be done...

Well I finally gathered up enough courage to throw a custom rom and your kernel on my thrive yesterday and after a successful first try its like I have a brand new device. I am still kinda new to the world of android with the Thrive being my first device (former iphone and Blackberry user). And I would like to thank you for making it possible to be done in the first place. Keep up the great work and I will donate as soon as I can.

CM9 might hit in the beginning of jan. but im sure theyll be someone else to compile a ICS before that. My guess we will see ICS roms by dec.
