Sorry guy, but most of what you're saying cones off as your opinion and that's OK. Its also ok for you not to admit it to me... That's your choice.
I could afford any phone out there just like the next guy but I chose the V20. Why?........ Not Because of the two features you mention which I agree are out there on the fringe. I bought it because it had the features that I wanted. Large Screen...not in the useless category and most of the brands have one. 64GB internal storage because 32 is not enough for me. I won't buy something without an SD unless it has 128 internal. I prefer LCD screens though that's something I can give up and would have to with the V30. I prefer the removable battery, but again not something I have to have and I've had both. Same with wireless charging....been there before and I can take it or leave it.
The two fringe features that made up my mind were the Quad DAC and the Wide camera. The Quad DAC is far from useless if you enjoy music. Of course not everyone cares but I'm not everyone and I have a feeling that if we had real salesmen in the world that let someone hear the difference with a demonstration more people would want that feature. I know you think the wide camera is useless but again, if we had real salespeople in the world its a feature more people would want. I can tell you that most people who try it and didn't think much of it up front really like it. Yes I have panorama....never use it, but you like it instead of wide. I don't see people jumping hoops for it.
I buy something for the sum of it's parts. I don't need to make excuses for LG because I don't care if anyone buys it as long as they stay in business to support my product. Of course I do enjoy that others buy it because its nice for the fan base to share ideas...that's why I'm here and I try not to go negative on those that aren't part of the fan base.
LG makes a decent product but I'll admit that like any other brand they have their share of problems. In the end I buy what I like because I'm not a sheep. I'm the same way with cars, cameras and anything else I buy. I don't play follow the leader. I do my research and buy what suits me as should you. Feel free to call what l like and the features I like useless if it makes you feel better about your purchase...I'm not about that. I think you should buy exactly what you like. Samsung makes a great product but I don't like what they have. I hate their skin, I don't like the edge screen. I'm not a fan of the Note and its gimmick...the stylus, but some people find it useful so I won't knock it because I've matured and decided if someone likes something they should get it and enjoy it. I know apple makes a decent phone but feature wise they are behind the times and as you realize there is no customization. I buy them for my wife and daughter because that's what they want and they want what other people in their inner circles want. I have one through work and I tolerate it but its not my choice. Don't ask me why, because I don't know, but I like the IPad. My daughter bought me one when the IPad air came out and I enjoy it more than an Android tablet after having owned one, but I havn tried one lately.
In any event, enjoy you phone and it's set of features...I promise you that I'll enjoy mine.
