LG G4 Battery Life Thread

Which extended battery is best?

Looking for an extended battery for my G4. Which is better? ZeroLemon? Mugen? Hyperion? Or something else?

The Mugen battery is incredible. I had one that I literally used for only two days. I'd sell it to you if you are interested. Only looking to sell because I got a phone from my work and don't need the G4 anymore.

Lg g4 battery life & performance... Is it still worth my money ?

Hi.. I'm just planning to buy a new LG G4 . I'm a heavy power user so battery life is a important concern for me .

Is it last a full with heavy to moderate use ?

I would like to hear G4 user's experience & opinions on battery life & performance

Should I go for the LG G4 ?

I also considering SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 4 & oppo r7 plus ...

BUT NOTE 4 found it to be bit old (2014 phone).

OPPO R7 PLUS have midrange specs & costs more than LG g4 . But it has 4100 mah battery with vook rapid charging ( 75 % in 30 minutes )

Note 4 : £ 330
Lg g4 :£ 280
R7 plus : £ 310

What u guys think ?

Should I go with lg g4 ? .. Or.....

Help me !

I liked everything about the G4 except the battery life. Wouldn't recommend the G4 to a heavy power user unless you plan on using extra battery. Was getting about 4-4.5 hrs SOT from 8 am to 7 or 8 pm with screen brightness at 25%. Only time I could go 24+ hrs was when my daily SOT was 2 hrs or less and I didn't watch many videos.

Re: Lg g4 battery life & performance... Is it still worth my money ?

I've observed my wife's usage of her G4 for the last few months. She typically gets on it around 8am, and by around 10-11pm, she is down to roughly 20%. She is a moderate to heavy user, using it alot for messaging, emailing, taking pictures (and some video) and posting on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. She occasionally browses and does a Periscope every now and then. Because the phone can do quick charging, you can be able to top it off as needed, provided you have a good charger of course. You can also swap out batteries if you wanted, and of course you can change the back cover if you're going caseless.

The Galaxy Note 4 is a solid phone, but the G4 has better specs and camera. The Oppo should have better battery life, but it has mid-range specs, and not as good a camera as the G4. I'd pick the G4 over the other two. Hope this helps!

The G4 is actually perfect for a true power user because you can charge up from 0 to 100 in a matter of seconds by simply swapping batteries.

That's pretty much what I said, but not everyone will have a 2nd battery.

Thanks for the reply dude ..

What about performance ?

Any heating issues ?

Software experience ? . I think it's far better than note 4 old iteration of touchwiz

Any oppo r7 plus users out there ?

Performance is really good. Not the fastest flagship, but it's still very snappy with minimal lag.

Never had any heating issues.

Software experience is pretty good. I never used most of the extra features and prefer stock, but LG definitely improved the UI and I think it's better than older Touchwiz.

Battery life isnt the best but can be manageable. Performance is good i have not experienced any lag. Camera is amazing very high quality. I am happy with my G4. If you get a spare battery you will be fine or buy a powerbank and your good to go for 5 battery cycles

Re: Lg g4 battery life & performance... Is it still worth my money ?

Performance is solid. It's not the fastest or best performing, but it's very good. If you're going to buy the G4, it's probably because you need a great camera, a great screen, removable battery, or an SD card slot. Not because you need the fastest phone on the market. All that said, it's a 2015 flagship and certainly fast enough. Just install Nova launcher and performance will be a non issue.

Re: Lg g4 battery life & performance... Is it still worth my money ?

Like others have said, battery life isn't the best, but it's offset by being removable. If you don't mind adding some extra bulk, you can buy larger aftermarket batteries so it'll last longer on a charge.

It also charges pretty fast on the OEM charger. It does seem LG was too aggressive in my view on controlling temps, as charging slows quite a bit while using it. I have a QC2.0 certified charger as well, which charges a little faster than the OEM with the screen off, but the phone doesn't fully utilize it with the screen on. Again, it's due to LG's programming in my opinion. It seems to kill charge rates at about 94°F, and QC2.0 easily pushes it higher than that, causing the phone to throttle it. Unless you plan to turn the screen off when charging, I actually wouldn't suggest a QC2.0 charger for this phone.

How does nova launcher help?
