thank you very much for answering my question, I am running dasBamf 1.6.3 remix now and I am loving it so far... Now I am taking the time to set it up the way I like it as well as my smart ass kernel settings and then I'll make a backup... Feels good to be finally rooted I feel like I'm at home now :-)

If you're using smart as s governor you're also using control freak kernel right? bc it's optimized for it i think

isnt there a rosie settings app in the drawer?

As I recall, 1.6.3 includes version 4.4.7 of the das BAMF kernel. I used cf 2.0 before jumping on the Gingerbread bandwagon, and it worked well.

For this rom the order doesnt matter, which radio did u flash?

I flashed the 402w_1. I started gettting 4g last night. Looks like I was just hit early with the 4g outage in the DC area. Looks like the ROM and radio is working smooth now. Thanks.

How are you liking the gingerbread ROM? and which one exactly are you using?

I'm using the latest beta of das BAMF 2.0 and it's running well for me. I like the Sense 3.0 features that have been added to the ROM. It isn't for everyone as some folks have had random reboots or other issues. So far, the only issues I've seen are that Pandora pauses between tracks and the application management screen can be a little glitchy. The thread on das BAMF 2.0 here (and the one on xda) will give you an idea of whether it's right for you.

Since these aren't showstoppers for me, I've been sticking with DB 2.0. If you're looking to give Gingerbread a try, just make sure you have the right radio, as well as a Froyo radio in case you want to return to Froyo.

haha ok. i think the kernel that comes with 163 is 447 kernel, and you would want the cf kernel if you want to use smart ass gov, bc it's particularlly optimized on the cf kernels.

the 447 kernel is optimized for on demand i think.

So... once again I didn't research enough... according to XDA and the remix section, there are a few apps that will not work the the framework to change the far right Rosie... I am using adw now any way . I also flash a few mods for the remix too.... Battery mod, Black Dialer, Black SMS, and the ability to include recent apps in the dropdown menu bar (like skyraider had)... I really REally like 1.6.3 remix... Very stable so far and no reboots... my battery still sux, but that is 4g for ya... I am going to request that someone start a thread for the new NTE and REMIX versions... they are very detailed and you are able to flash any kind of mod you want.. OF all the ROMs I have ever had, I have never had this much cutomization... :)

Currently Known Issues: The Rosie Settings apk doesn't work with camera, messages, people and voicemail (unless you're using a third party app). In the event this issue is worked out, the docks for them are already available. this is taken Directly from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1043589

What radio are you using? I had the newest radio installed for a while, and found my battery life on 4G to be awful (8-10%/hour). I switched back to the older version of the LTE radio and the battery life is about twice as long (4-6%/hour) as it was before with no other changes.

Just to be clear, if you check this thread
[RADIO] The Obligatory Thunderbolt Radio Thread - xda-developers
When I first installed 1.6.3, I also flashed the "1.13.605.7 CDMA/LTE radio combo". Everything worked great except crappy battery.

I then switched to the second one listed, "1.13.605.7 CDMA and 1.12.605.6 LTE radio", and I've been getting much better 4G battery life since.

For what it's worth, I haven't had any issues with reboots or anything like that on any radio versions I've used...I've mainly just flashed different ones to see effects on battery. WIFI battery appears to be unchanged, and I'm rarely in a non-4G area, so I haven't really tested that at all.

Yeah there's lots of options with bamf - pretty much endless.

There used to be a remix thread, but i guess it wasn't kept up and it's way down the list somewhere.

As far as changing radios goes, you can give it a shot. I've found that my battery life fluctuates, and there's really not very much that i can do about it. I think it's that some days the signal is better than others? not so sure. Anyway, i keep gps on all the time practically, and never use wifi bc LTE is so fast, and i just have the stock battery = so i know my battery is going to run down fast when i use it a bunch. The real thing is, i get like 2-2.5 hours of screen-on time on a "bad day" and 3-3.5 hours on a good day. But it depends what you've used, and all that, so it's hard to say.

I am DL'ing the radio suggested now, and when I get home from work and have access to my usb cable I will change it and try it out... OR(lightbulb above my head) i will put it into my dropbox and use supermanager to place on my sd card.... either way I will keep you posted, thank dude :)

I generally only use wifi because it drains the battery less, otherwise I'd definitely run 4G all the time. One of the buildings I work in gets really bad cell reception, so obviously wifi helps out there regardless, but I certainly wouldn't need to use it at home or my regular work office if 4G wasn't such a battery hog.
