[ROM] [05.25.11] Das BAMF 1.7

ok, so I've been running 1.7 for the past two weeks or so, but I've had to data wipe and reflash 1.7 last saturday after my messaging was force closing and I couldn't get it back up by wiping cache nor fix permissions nor re-flashing das bamf on top of it. today, I rebooted since I was getting data errors and once it booted back up, messaging and phone are force closing, with the phone in a force close loop and the data doesn't seem to be working. I tried fixing permissions, wiping the cache, re-flashing 1.7, and re-flashing the radio, but no dice. any ideas what could be causing this or what I could do to fix it besides data wipe and reflash?

i would try reflash with multiple (3+) wipes of data, cache, and dalvik if you really want 1.7, otherwise i would just revert to 1.6.3 which was pretty much bug free.

jeez, the 3x seems excessive, so I did try that, but then I flashed the new GB radio and rom instead. ah well! I was hoping to not lose my sms messages and such, but no biggie. I was hoping for a more stable radio for GB and there it was! thanks for the help

Seems you've already decided to go a different route, but did you install 1.7 from CWM, or through Rom Manager? The first time I tried to install a new ROM I did it through Rom Manager (hey, I was a noob), and nothing really worked right. Fool me once, shame on you....

2nd time, I booted into CWM, did a full wipe and wiped cache/dalvik, then installed the ROM and everything worked just fine.

yup, all through CWM, after the whole debacle with ROM manager and the fascinate, I haven't really used it that much (just to flash cwm now). it's weird, both times the rom would work perfectly for a few days, then crap out all of a sudden. my phone also rebooted by itself for the first time yesterday, so not sure if that had anything to do with it.

My next questions then would be: what radio are you using? Did you install a different kernel?

I was running the 0402w_1 radio (MR1 I believe), and I was running the kernel that came with bamf 1.7. I had no issues with this radio before I went to the GB one and then I went to 1.7 after the GB radio scare.

Can someone please explain to me what the "I/O scheduler" is and/or does under Spare Parts... for this ROM.. I have no clue and have had a hardtime getting an answer anywhere... thank you :)

I am running 1.7 remix (picture of software below) and was wondering whether or not I should try a new kernel to improve battery life? I did go into apps>Das BAMF Toolkit>CPU Settings and changed the governor to "powersave". Is this pretty much the same thing as trying a new kernel? Is the stock kernel with 1.7 overclocked by default? Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone I am new here and this is my first post. I have lurked for a few weeks after a friend of mine introduced me to this website.

The main reason I am here is help with my root on the thunderbolt. When I go to install this ROM it doesn't allow the radios to work. Can someone direct me to a link with this problem or maybe give me some tips on what I may be doing wrong?

BTW I did a search both on here and google and have had a hard time figuring this issue out.

Well Updated to 1.7 a few weeks back to try and have a fix for the random rebooting issue, now they have the Official fix. Any plans on making it compatible with 1.7 or should I just upgrade to 2.0+ for DASBAMF ?

I reverted back to 1.7 from GB and can't get any of the radios from the Obligatory Radio Thread to work again. The best I can get is 1x for a short period of time. Text messages come through fine. Any suggestions?

I have random reboots on 1.7 currently. I would switch back to GB but Pandora is real laggy on 2.0

The reboots were what made me switch back from 1.7 to GB. I don't use Pandora much, otherwise it would be a closer call on switching back to GB.
