[ROM][ACS]SyndicateROM Frozen 1.2 (Updated 6/20)

Ive had my phone unplugged for about 9hrs, heavy texting, heavy web browsing, pretty good amount of time spent on the phone talking, and running music..still kickin at 25% battery.

Anyone know if we can flash a dialer on this yet? I tried using midNIGHTs but kept FC.
I dont want a new theme yet, just dialer.

Sent from my pretty dang fast Epic.

This app is amazingly quick, faster then I have ever seen, but it seems like my GPS icon is on ALL the time and the phones seems to get hot. I really haven't noticed much battery improvement even when I undervolt it at 1000 mhz, make sure you download the fix to allow setcpu to run correctly as it will get stuck on 1200 mhz and setcpu won't change it. Overall I am glad that i flashed this rom, it is quick, I haven't had any fc's and everything seems to be running great, just need a nice theme for it :)

Update on my battery life I am right now at 35% last time it was on the charger was around 640 this morning. Did some texting, surfing, facebook and twitter refresh every 4 hrs, played a gameloft game, did some talking... pretty much the normal stuff that usually gets me through like 8 hours of my day and usually have to plug it in around 4pm but with this rom I'm just now plugging it in for the first time today and that is because I alway do so when going to bed. really impressed with just the first day of use. Note: I am not overclocked at 1.2ghz. Just have it set to 1000mhz max and 100min. No profiles or anything else set up in setcpu.

I just read all 74 pages over there on XDA (it was 65 when I started). Probably gonna wait a few days for some fixes to come along for the known issues. This looks like THE ROM to run.

Well I wonder what the deal is with my battery drain then. I have mine set on 1000 max and 100 min, I also have the scaling set at conservative, but I cannot hold a battery charge, I have never had this problem before.... Any ideas let me know... Thanks!

maybe try a battery calibration. I've read somewhere that when you get on a new ROM you should do this if experiencing abnormal battery issues.

I'm having problems logging into yahoo. Everytime I try I get fc'd. Is anyone else having that problem?

Go read over on the XDA thread. I *think* I saw someone mention a problem about yahoo, but I know there were a lot of problems with email apps. They are also looking into some SSL stuff that was causing FC's.

...just need a nice theme for it :)

I like the honeycomb theme v4 for midNIGHT ROM, but I'm guessing it won't work with this ROM. Or if it does, I'll be having lots of FC issues. I can't wait for some themes to come out for this ROM. If anybody knows themes that are compatible, please let me know.

Other than that, this thing is smoking!

@all, as of last night I noticed there are many issues when trying to add themes or add ons from other sources other than ACS themselves. There is something involved either in the "signatures" they used or the carrier iq removal script changes that is causing force closings on many things. I believe these new changes they are making are a very big step in the right direction, but just like anything new it may take a few days to get the bugs all worked out.

I would suggest running it as is until you see updates from the dev or ACS team concerning overcoming these problems.

I've encountered one pretty serious issue with this ROM. This has happened a few times to me now, maybe once or twice a day since I've run it.

I will be using my phone fine, then put it down for a few minutes, and when I pick it up to try to use it again, nothing will respond. I hit the unlock button to wake it, but the screen stays off and the soft-keys don't light up. When this happens, I can't receive any messages or phone calls--I used my friend's phone to call mine when this was happening, and it still rang on her phone, but nothing on my phone. Only way to fix this is a battery pull, not even Vol Up + Power + Camera reboots it.

I've tried running the kernel at 200MHz min instead of 100MHz, but that didn't make a difference. The only thing I've really altered after flashing the ROM is to flash the Search button fix from the ACE1.6 thread, but if I remember right, this problem happened before flashing that zip...

Anybody else experienced this?

Edit: For some reason this is happening a lot more frequently in the last few hours (I haven't changed anything this morning)... It did it 3 times int he last hour.

I switched to this ROM last night, and I'm really enjoying it. The biggest difference to me is the responsivness of the hardware keyboard. No more missed keypresses due to lag!

I haven't tried my Chase app yet; not sure if it will be affected by the secure connection bug that others have been reporting. I can confirm that the AOSP Lock Screen that Ragnarok posted is working fine, and that the ACE Search button fix is working, as well.

Note: I use a simple set-up; no exchange, no stock email app (gmail only)

Is anyone having problems with SetCPU? When I try to change clock speeds, the min/max sliders move, but my CPU still operates on a range from 200mhz to 1.2ghz regardless of what my sliders are set to.

Any suggestions?

Try reflashing the ROM. I remember having that problem on a previous ROM, and reflashing the ROM 3 times in a row fixed it for me. Hope that helps.

I am not seeing this issue, are you running setcpu conservative or on demand? The creators recommend on demand for this kernel because of issues with waking the phone up. If that doesn't work I would try reflashing the kernel from the twilight kernel threat @ xda.

Look at the second post on the xda page for the ROM, there is a flashable kernel patch there that fixes this.

Darn. I actually had already flashed that, but I needed to reflash the entire rom... and forgot to reupdate the kernel.

My hero. *swoon* lol
