Ed, just run the OneClickRoot for the EXT4 conversion. It will root your phone again but since you are already converted to EXT4 it will not run the conversion when you boot into CWM later, that will be skipped.
For some reason, my laptop would not recognize my Epic. I reinstalled the Samsung drivers but no luck. So, I booted into CWM and flashed Baked Snack 2.3 and things are back to normal, so far. Very strange! At least my laptop and Epic can talk to each other again.
Did this have something to do with losing root after flashing the Baked Snack kernel on SRF 1.1?
Yes I think its to do with the BS kernel itself. Were you getting that RNDIS error/not found when you plugged in your phone via USB?
Yes, I was getting the RNDIS error but I still get that now that I have flashed back to BS. I could be wrong but I believe that error started when I first flashed BS.
The reason I flashed the BS kernel with SRF was battery life seemed better with BS and I think BS is a little faster. What are your thoughts on SRF vs BS in terms of battery and speed? I didn't spend much time with SRF so I will probably give it another try.
See post #533 and #534.

My phone did the same exact thing if I installed YouMail on it. If you have YouMail, you'll have to reflash the ROM to fix the issue (uninstalling it won't fix it). I've had this issue with every version of SyndicateROM so far.
Wow... I do use YouMail too...
Ive been following the rest of the suggestions Ive been getting here... it is running stable at the moment using the Overclock Widge and set at 20000/100000... only 1 battery pull in the last 12 hours. I will definitely reflash if and not install youmail if problems persist.
Just for anyone who is curious..the new spb mobile shell works flawlessly with this rom...and its pretty awesome well really awesome..well worth 15 bucks to me..

so i'm having FC crashes whenever I try to save an image using the default Browser. any site, it doesn't matter. as soon as I click on save image, I get the FC message. I'm using Firefox and Opera Mini to save for now, but I'd much rather use the default browser. even when you delete History, Firefox retains the last tab in the opening page.
also, I tried a reboot with this ROM (3 finger) and I got into a boot cycle. I reflashed and still boot cycle. I wiped all data (factory reset wipe, format Cache, and wipe Dalvik cache 3times) then relfashed the ROM and it booted up. I also rebooted with no problems. But, I still get the FC when saving an image from the default Browser.
