I am. I have an exchange account and a yahoo mail account in my stock e-mail app and trying to reply or forward with either causes a FC. And tapping compose to create a new message does nothing.

While I was writing the above post I was in the process of wiping and re-flashing the rom. This time I set up my accounts manually where as last time I have Titanium restore them and now the problems are gone. Removing the accounts and re-creating them might work, but I'm not sure. Re-flashing may be the only way.

Also what firmware camera update are you guys talking about? Is it from Sprint?

You can once the dev puts out the files for the bloatware. They were there for 1.0, but I think they need some tweaking for 1.01. The link (when it's posted) should be on the second post of the thread at XDA

I don't see any reason why you can't. They seemed to have resolved most of the flashing issues with non ACS supported apps/themes.

Sprint/Samsung Apps (This is a zip file, extract it onto your computer and use whatever you need and place it on your sdcard of your phone.) Sprint apps, self install using any file explorer utility and Samsung apps need to be moved to the "/system/app/" directory using a program like EStrongs File Explorer or Root Explorer from the Market.

I wish I had an ounce of Dev ability. I really want a new theme... Honeycomb is great, but the little visual quirks kill me and Emotionless beast is just too dang colorful... Anybody working on an "ACS no/CIQ" friendly theme I can look forward to?

These should all install with no issues, they are Samsung and Sprint official apps so they shouldn't be affected by any changes that ACS or Syndicate has made. Make a backup in CWM just in case but it should go without a hitch.

I'm mobile right now so I can't upload a pic, but I can confirm that is what mine says. I am pretty sure I saw a post about this in the syndicate threat on xda and the rom creator confirmed that is what it is supposed to say.

deleted my email account and reset it up w/o reflashing rom. that worked as far as i can tell. I also had used titanium backup

Strange Wireless Tethering Behavior...

Went to test out the Wireless Tethering and while I had my using my laptop thethering off my phone, music on my phone just started playing. Anyone else experience this? Thanks!

ROM Installation Mistake

I installed the SyndicateROM with EXT4 without realizing I was still on RFS. The ROM installed smoothly, but once it rebooted it got hung up on the SAMSUNG MOBILE boot screen...

So I figured I would just boot in to CWR and restore my backup.. and of course to no avail.

I then proceed to Flash it back to stock with Odin everything went smooth and once again when the phone rebooted it got hung up on the same SAMSUNG MOBILE boot screen...

Any ideas on what I can do from here?

I am kind of scratching my head as I have run out of ideas!

finally flashed 1.0.1 today and the first flash took perfect. to bad the full battery popup is back,


I did manage to mess up my dialer. I tried flashing the red dialer from supernova and it just FC'd every time i tried to open the phone. I could make a call out of the contacts, but no dialer. had to reflash and load all my apps again (forgot to run mybackup after the first flash).

all is well, would highly recommend this ROM as well as the kernel that comes with it.

I did this first to root and get to ext4.

Once there I wiped 3 times each (dalvik, cache, data) and then flashed SyndicateROM frozen 1.0.1.


Sounds like you need to look up some guides on unbricking your phone if odin still isn't working for you. Once you get back to a stock DI18, you can upgrade to EB13 just then do what I did.

how long did it sit on samsung? mine sat for like 5-10 mins after rebooting the 1st time
