The My Root backup program is corrupted...when I backed up and tried to do a restore it said " Can't Find Backup Set" when I flashed the ACE rom and installed the backup root from the mkt place it worked just fine...


I tried to overite the My Root with the one from the market place while on the Syndicate rom and I still got the Error...

Anyone else have this problem?

For some reason the MyBackup looks for the backup file in the wrong location. If you move the "rerware" folder from "external_sd/rerware" to the sdcard root (or the other way around, I don't remember), then MyBackup will find the backup.

This rom is freakin awesome. I've tried regular stock dk28, stock eb13, and trulyepic rebirth; and I must say that this rom is the $hit. I'm running on over 35 hours of non charging with regular usage [calls throught the day, internet, texting] right now this phone has apps like crazy on it and benchmarks at over 2200. Btw this thing ZOOOOOOMMMMSSSSS.
Great work guys seriously, I am no rom expert and this was pretty easy to use.
I get force closes once in a while but not everyday with certain apps but nothing crazy.
Not having to worry about charging everyday is REALLY epic in my book.

I used titanium to get my apps back restoring three by three in case something went crazy.

Could I use clockwork backup to restore data when upgrading?
Or rather...what is the correct way to upgrade?

I seem to have the same issue with this rom as I did with Bonsai, I am able to connect one bluetooth device and no others seem to connect. It tries to pair, but won't connect. I did finally get Bonsai to work after I flashed back to the stock EB13 and then reflashed Bonsai. Just haven't gotten around to trying it with this ROM to se if it works.

The best option I've seen is to use AppBrain to re-download the apps (make a new list as a backup then copy them to the device on the website and perform the installs) then restore the Data only from MyBackup root or Titanium. Restoring .apks tends to get messy sometimes.

No matter what i do i could not get tethering to work with this rom i was faced with force close after force close i went all the way back to stock 3 times flashed 3 4 or 5 times installed all the supposed fixes flashed a new kernel did what i could but going to have to reload ace rom... Keep up the good work and will check out the next version when it comes out...

Anyone having continuous problems with programs that used maps STILL FC'ing? I flash the fix and it works but a short while later (or maybe after a reboot), the FC'ing occurs again. Any thoughts???

I experienced that the first time I flashed the ROM, but reflashing it fixed it. Also, don't just restore all your backups. Instead, redownload apps from the Market (I've heard using AppBrain also works), and then restore data only as required.

Just found a deal breaker flaw on this rom.
I can't get gasbuddy to work, keeps saying there is a prblem connecting to the gps and to check gps settings. I need gas buddy to find gas stations with diesel. I there a fix for this? Yes I have my gps enabled.

I'm guessing that app uses maps to display where gas stations are?

If so did you flash the maps fix that is in the second post on XDA (second know bug under 1.0.1)?

Try that to see if it clears up your issue with gasbuddy.

You're gonna have to be more specific on the apps that are force closing as well at what actions lead up to the FC (opening it, clicking certain thing, etc)


The only thing I use is Maps and it has worked without a hitch. I flashed the fix before I ever tried it just to be safe.

well there is a spot in the second post over on XDA where a download for the removed apps should be, but it's not a link right now. I would suggest posting in that thread to see if someone can point you to the download.

I had to uninstall...after about a week of no problems I started getting system errors all over the place such as google framework, gapps..there were about 6 of them over and over. Not sure what went wrong, anyone else experience this?

hi, thanks.... i found the full apk list but i still can't figure out how to install the SprintTV and Sprint Nav apps....can't install it from just clicking it and it also doesn't work when i drop it in system\apps and rebooted
