Map Fix

The link for the 1.0.1 map fix is bad. Some 1.0.2 users with FC issues on map as well as other apps had their problems solved by flashing the 1.0.1 map fix???
I know the fix was included in the 1.0.2 build, but when I access mapping on apps like G-MON I get a FC. Hope the next version will work, or the map fix is made available again.

I used the prerooted EC05 update with CWM 2.5.

How do I get the latest Syndicate on my phone?

From what I understand I need to install CWM 3 which will convert my phone to EXT4, then I can use ODIN to flash this rom?

As far as I know you can't flash/use Syndicate on your device now that your using EC05. When you goto convert to EXT4/CWM3.0.0.6 there are issues when you actually attempt to flash the EB13 based Syndicate ROM. I know ACS/Syndicate is in the process of releasing a EC05 based version, although they haven't set a release date yet.

Only two ROMs available for you to use on EC05 is Bonsai v4.0.0 and midNIGHT v5 (which is Bonsai based, modified)

In order to run Syndicate successfully you will need to Odin back to Froyo EB13. Use procedure #1 in the link below to Odin back to Froyo EB13 and then you will have to root/install CWM and then perform the conversion to EXT4 to run Syndicate and other EB13 based ROMs.

i would just use the prerooted/ext4/deodexed version of EB13 that is available here on AC. install with odin (and install the EC05 MODEM, dont need the whole eco5 OS, just the modem instead of regular modem, file available over on XDA on the SRF page). put SRF zip on sd card. flash from cwm 3.0.0.6. reboot and enjoy the super fast wonderfulness that is SRF. (now available w/ or w/o journaling).

i just finished putting all my theming on top of the new SRF 1.1.0. I thought bonsai was the bees knees... till i tried this rom. wow. super fast. great battery. (boots/shuts down so fast the animations dont even get to finish haha).

but ya- odin to eb13 w/ ec05 modem, flash SRF 1.1.0 zip off your sd card. viola!

Actually no, SyndicateROM 1.1.0 just came out, based on EC05.

and SRF 1.0.3 (Malanga) worked on EB13 running the EC05 modem. I dont have the actual official ec05 running, but threw the modem on top of eb13, and SRF Malanga and Takiya (1.1.0) work great.

Exactly, my point was Atlienzz doesn't need to return to stock EB13 (he's running EC05) before converting to EXT and flashing SyndicateROM.

personally i'd stay on eb13 until there is a deodexed version available (but thats cuz i like to tweak stuff) of ec05 since eb13 works perfect with SRF 1.1

and everyone talks about odin like its a chore. boot phone into DL mode. click click click, check repartition, presto like 3 mins later its done. takes longer to make a nandroid backup than to use odin to restore to an earlier version.

but ya. they can use either eb13 or ec05. w/e they want would work

So today and yesterday i noticed that my gmails are now coming in like pop email vs push. typically i would get a gmail on my phone within 5-10 seconds after it is sent. as of right now i am going on 3 minutes?

Is this a result of this ROM? i kinda need my gmails quickly.

Thanks for the replies everyone, but there seems to be some conflicting viewpoints.

Since the newer version of SFR was released yesterday with EC05 support, what steps do I need to do in what order to get the ROM on my phone? I don't mind using ODIN to do something, I just want to know the easiest way to get this ROM as this will be my first time "hacking" my phone.

I'm currently on EC05 after using the android central pre-rooted version with CWM 2.5.

I know I need CWM 3.0 as this will give me EXT4, but how do I get CWM 3.0? And if I understand correctly I will flash SRF directly from CWM is that correct?

Try going into Settings>Applications>Manage>Gmail and clear cache and data.

This is why I'm confused, that thread references having to be on EB13 with EXT4 before flashing. I'm on EC05 and simply want to install CWM 3 so I can flash Syndicate. Am I missing the boat here completely?

Nevermind, I'm fairly sure I have this down now. I found the CWM 3 installation and found directions on how to actually flash in CWM 3.0. Thanks!

Quick question for those who updated to ACS Syndicate 1.1.0(Takiya). Is anyone using LauncherPro Plus with it. I tried to restore my app and data and I'm getting FC issues like crazy. Any and all advice is much appreciated. Thanks!
