[ROM] Android Open Kang Project- Jelly Bean Style

Anyone know if team kang is taking requests? Would LOVE to have a speed diAler built in.... Not even the T9 but a full on "hold 2 call bob" thing like I had on my DX2

What cpu settings seem to work the best with this ROM?

Anyone else have the reboot issue when launching the clock and putting the phone in landscape mode? I dirty flashed 8/29 over 8/26 and it is still there. 8/26 was a clean flash though. Rom works great otherwise. Seems smoother than CNA for me but I wonder if it Nova vs Apex. I have not used Nova for quite some time. I am missing the features of Apex though. After seeing how smooth it was, I thought I would give Nova a try.

Welp, excruciating pain at 530AM can be diluted by a good ol' crackflash fix. Ahhhh.

Thing 2...BB stock calendar app displays Google calendar colors but AOKP will not. Not a huge deal but I color code items in the calendar for quick recognition.

Try a different GAPPS package.

dmmarck,

Google Movies not working is not a gapps issue it has something to do with the ROM as best I can deduce after my 3.5 hour crackflashing session. :D

Calendar item colors is a gapps issue.

Bugless Beast has the gapps included in his ROM zip, so I don't know what gapps Pete is baking in. Google Movies work and calendar item colors work (like calendar item colors on a stock Nexus 7).

Flashed Clean AOSP 4.1.1 with gapps package gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip and gapps-jb-20120831-JRO03O-Formula84. Google Movies work.

Flashed AOKP Build 1 and the 8/31 nightly with gapps gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip and gapps-jb-20120831-JRO03O-Formula84 - Google Movies = no joy, still get the "couldn't fetch license" error followed by "the video's rental period has expired", calendar item colors good with the JRO03O gapps.

One interesting thing I noted with Google Movies, Bugless Beast and AOKP Build 1 & Nightly 8/31 did show the "HD" toggle on the lower left corner of the screen and Clean AOSP 4.1.1 did not.

Both Bugless Beast and Clean AOSP 4.1.1 are on build JRO03L using Superuser by ChainsDD and AOKP is on build JRO03H using SuperSU by Chainfire. Don't know if this really means much.

Bottom line, I love the customization that AOKP has baked in, but I really would like to access Google Movies. Hopefully AOKP can figure it out.

Any noticeable changes on this build?
I'm not currently running AOKP but Jubakuba (over at RW) does a great job at updating an unofficial changelog:

[Updated to 8/31/12 : CHANGELOG FROM 8/29/12]
-Install bootanimation.zip via Rom Control
-Enable 180 degree rotation
-Option to add a "Kill all" button to recents menu
-Option to unlink ringer and notification volume
-Return of down arrow if keyboard is open

Feeling the pull to come back even though I really like BAMF. The newest features sound intriguing. Also, my battery life is sucking right now so I am going to see if the unicorn can help.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?
I have tried to use a theme with AOKP twice and both times I ended up with a bootloop.
I can't remember the theme I tried last month but tonight I tried to use Crimson Blue. It is working on my BAMF rom and and worked on AOKP, although without the app theming, until I did a reboot.
I restored my nandroid and now all is better.
I really wish I could get it to work because this theme on BAMF is awesome.

After multiple times of thinking about going from ICS to JB on AOKP, today's the day. Just to be sure, do I have this right?

Latest nightly:
androtransfer.com

Recommended Gapps:
Goo.im Downloads - Browsing gapps, d/l gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip

Latest Franco kernel.

Process:
Clean flash:
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe caches and wipe system (not crucial, but you should)
Flash ROM, flash gapps

That about right?

Quick question. Finally have some time to flash a new build (looks like newest one is sept 2nd), currently am in the nightly from 8/17. Do I need to wipe the phones can it jut be installed over the current one like an official update would if I were stock?

Thanks.
