I've found if you already have an AOKP build all you need to wipe is Dalvik. Double check to make sure your Gapps are the most current.

I've tried other ROMs but keep coming back to AOKP with Franco kernel. It just seems to be the sweet spot of speed, battery life, and customization. LOVE IT!!!

It's a nightly. Apparently it was just named wrong according to Jubakuba on XDA.

so with the long weekend did anyone do the new Build 1 of AOKP? any recommended gapps for this one?
I see Jakeday is up to 8/31 his always worked nicely when we all were on his ship waiting for his 12am nightly releases.

Finally updated from ICS M6 to JB Build 1 but have a few problems.

-Camera won't work, says the app isn't installed.
-Google Now isn't fully working. Always says "Location Service is Off" no matter if GPS/location is on or not
-Weather is displayed as N/A

What gapps are you using? Try flashing them again.

I believe the latest. ill give it a shot again and will probably try the newest nightly

If you restored a backup from nova launcher or something sometimes you have to trash the camera or gallery and drag it back to the screen. I think some were having a problem with having two cameras. Not sure if that helps. And like others said if you didn't flash gapps then that would give you the problem too

I had some strange issues after updating to the latest aokp version. Had the latest Gaaps installed already so did not think it was that. Decided to re-install Gaaps and all is well now. Hopefully you have the same results after you re-install Gaaps.

Did you not reflash GAPPs? I know it's counter-intuitive, but it's a must .

What dmmarck said. Even if you're dirty flashing, AOSP ROMs wipe the system and hence, the gapps, so you must reflash them.

What gapps are you flashing, I see from an older post you said the latest but is is the 726 signed, xoom, jakedays, just curious I guess,

I did a clean original Build 1 awhile ago with 726 signed with no issues and want to flash the latest Build 1 ROM but if your having issues with the gapps I may hold off.

Stop messing with unruley gapps. Stick with the latest and signed 7/26 haven't had any issues and I flash a different aokp test at least twice a day.
