So what's up with the version showing build 1 in about phone? Just clean flashed preview 6 but aokp version still says aokp toro jb build 1Ok so I followed the instructions all is loaded. I hate downloading the apps, thankfull I have NOVA. I was going through some of the apps I use, I tried the GPS, I get no audio, I went into
Text-to Speech Output and tapped listen to an example, nothing. Known issue with AOKP? or like in Jakes JB there was a file to install for this to work?
Also in the pull down toggle what is the "pink icon"?
And when I do a about phone AOKP version shows aokp_toro_jb1, but I downloaded 4 from the link on page 1.
EDIT: OK same issue as with JB missing file - Found answer on RW: Worked for me!
Fix for the Text To Speech issue
Put a copy of libpatts_engine_jni_api.so in your System/Lib folder.
I grabbed that file from the 2.6 ROM. Here is a link to it in my drop box: https://dl.dropbox.c...gine_jni_api.so
Credit to Scripting Samurai fpr posting and Vek_ in IRC for discovering the missing file.
Thanks,
Xanth
It seems that everyone will say something different, but I'm having good luck with the latest gapps from goo.im (7-26 signed gapps).

Is it OK to dirty flash aokp like we were doing with Jakes jb ROMs? I am currently on p4 with Franco 225.

So, what kernel are you using then?

Oh yeah and restore not happening with 726 gapps![]()
The stock kernel shouldn't be dismissed that easy. It works really well, and I got awesome battery life on it. Like 22 hours with 2 hr 20 min on screen time.
Im currently testing the trinity stable releases, 307/1344 is really nice so far, just as it was in experimental stages. Probably will switch over to the 384 or 537 slot build after the weekend.
