[ROM] Android Open Kang Project- Jelly Bean Style

I've been running Tiny Kernel today. I tried Wheatley and it was so so. I'm trying out interactive now. Per CPUSpy it's running at 700mhz alot.

Extended battery that was on sale here a few weeks ago, AOKP Build 4 installed after a clean wipe, Franco M5 set to balanced power mode and I'm at 15 hours and 25 minutes off charger with 58% of the battery left. This is with all radios on and moderate use, texting, calls, reading a book on the kindle app for about 30 minutes, and streaming music both through bluetooth and plugged into some speakers at the house for a couple hours. Oh I've also got 3 Gmail accounts, G+, G Drive, G Reader, Twitter, Facebook, and Chrome all syncing.

Before Build 4 this kind of performance was unheard of for me. Now the other related thing is that I got a work phone and disconnected my link to my companies Exchange server.

Help,

flashed latest Franco nightly and stuck in Google loop!

EDIT_ OK battery pull- dirty flashed and went up to Build 4 and also did gapps to be safe., phone booting now, hoping all went well.

anyone else flash latest from Franco have an issue? anyway to download a stable nightly?

Same. My battery life was actually horrendous with stock kernal. Improved greatly and runs fine.

That's the trick with AOKP. Ditch the stock kernel (faux) immediately and flash something much, much better.

Is it ok to dirty flash from Build 1 to Build 4? And will it delete all my settings and apps and data and stuff?

I wouldn't and no, a dirty flash does not do what you listed.

Anyone noticing the WiFi signal dropping in Build 3 when the phone isn't in use over 15 minutes? I would update to B4, bit I forgot my laptop at my GF's house and work too far to pick it up. Hopefully B5 fixes any issues you guys see on B4

I'm on B4 and I still have this issue. I noticed that when waking the phone up after sitting a while, I see it's on a 3G signal (I don't have 4G service at home), even though I'm on my home wifi.

On the bright side it is a quick transition back to wifi, generally around 1 sec. or less.

Hopefully B5 will have this corrected.

You just need to go into the advanced Wifi settings and set the Wifi to never sleep. For some reason since B3 the default is for it to turn off when the phone sleeps.
