Why isn't this ROM displaying things in full 32 bit color? I think it renders them, since I pulled this screenshot off the phone and it views on a computer fine. But if you look at the picture below and compare it to the phone, it doesn't look the same. The phone almost looks... artifacted. Take for example, one region of the picture- the Settings bar above the Wireless and Networks options menu.

Just wanted to stop on in to the OPTs kraven section to wish him and everybody involved in this forum the best and to say thank you and kraven you are the man my friend!!! I bought a pay as you go Samsung galaxy exhibit 4g running off of Tmobile.although my reception is not much better than sprint in northern Wisconsin Lol. And I wish that phone had half the support the Opt.s has. Then there would be an over clocked cpu kernel:p

I just did the same thing, same phone, except my coverage is about five times improved.
PM sent.

Cool love it because I'm tire of default android looks and feels so nice to have something new! I got it working earlier today but I didn't do the thing to get 3G coverage so I'm recovering to do it right now.
:D :D :D :D :D :D THANKS! :D :D :D :D :D :D

EDIT: and its way smoother than regular maybe because I have no apps installed but WOW!

Re: [ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 2/7/2012 zvd only

I can't find the latest build >_<
I wish that thekraven would change that in the OP and the title to be more clear. I struggled with it, too. It took me a few minutes to figure out that the 4-10 file was just a patch to display the baseband; thought it might be another build. And then comes the a,b,c,d thing... I'm just saying that your confusion is understandable. Also, welcome to an awesome ROM!

Re: [ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 2/7/2012 zvd only

I was trying to figure out how to fix the bug with this rom where it won't ever sleep with bluetooth enabled (gets "msm_serial_hs_dma" wakelock) and I though I possibly found a solution from here.
My HTC Wildfire S didn?t want to go into the ?Deep Sleep? mode at all if radio was turned on. It worked with Airplane mode. I thought this has something todo with RIL but I was wrong. Actually it was a bluetooth wakelock. The wakelock ?msm_serial_hs_dma? was held all the time. The problem is that the msm7227 platform doesn?t supports quick switch-on/off of the bluetooth module and you need to deactivate it with an overlay else ICS always tries to trigger it.

So adding

<bool name="config_bluetooth_adapter_quick_switch">false</bool>

to overlay/frameworks/base/core/res/res/values/config.xml fixed the problem and the wakelock was gone.

So I used apktool to decompile /system/framework/framework-res.apk and added that line to /res/values/bools.xml which appeared to be the right place to put it and then recompiled framework-res.apk and put it back on the phone but unfortunately the issue remained...

Googling around a bit more it seems like maybe I would have to compile the entire rom with the line added to some other file before compiling? I couldn't seem to find the source that thekraven was using in the the OP anywhere. Could anyone who knows more about this stuff possibly point me in the right direction to get started? I'm kinda stuck.

Oh, well I guess if it isn't an available option for CM7 then that explains why it doesn't work... I assume you mean the kernels here? I already tried one of those a while ago and it didn't fix the bluetooth sleep issue, but it looks like he's updated it fairly recently so maybe I'll try a new one. Or maybe I could try his CM7 build even though it for the optimus v.

Re: [ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 2/7/2012 zvd only

I keep having an issue where my wifi starts acting up.. Like it'll be okay, and then it'll stop. It will say it's still connected and the lights will be green, but it won't send or receive data.. It says IP Address is Unavailable. .I've isolated it down to the kernel I believe, but I wanted to try to stick with Bobzhome cause it's said it's the only one where the headset mic works, and that's important to me.. I tracked down 2.32 v4 compared to v3.7 or 3.9 that were baked in the rom, and v4 worked for a bit, but then did the same.. I know it's not on my half cause I flashed hydro for a test and that worked fine, but it was too plain for my taste.. any word on what this may be caused by or if this has ever happened before?

Update: I actually flashed a few other kernels to test.. they did the same thing.. but other roms would work fine.. I'm even more confused

thekraven, currently i have been trying to install custom status bar icons and im having no luck. Im using rom toolbox pro. I have emailed jrummy and they said the installer may not work with cm7. He also said that it may work if you moved the icons back to where they were on a stock ls670 rom. Would you do that if its possible

I am trying to download the 3/7d and 3/9 builds (or latest). I can't get the links for the 3/7 or 3/9 builds to work. I am directed to Goo.im. I receive the message "The file you requested was not found". I cannot find a thekraven directory at Goo.im either. That's where the http://tinyw.in/ links take me.

Goo im made a mistake during a server upgrade and deleted all files. Maybe thekraven will upload them again.
