[ROM][CM9][ICS][4.0.4] Cyanogenmod 9, Android ICS 4.0.4

hmm dont know what it is but im at a stand still with ideas! no matter what i do or set including the cpu and the Governor it always black screens me on incoming calls if the phone is asleep same with waking it up some times have to turn the screen on then off and wait for exactly 10 seconds and then back on.

i have tried setting the cpu to min 480 and 600 and on demand etc and set at boot and then reboot still same ole thing

im using aokp build 38

so im guessing its in arjens hands now (which i have no doubt he will fix it)
this guy is a pure genius seriously how many devs have tried there hand at this kernel and we either got a hackjob that half worked and half did not work or a kernel from that who shal not be named that had no data no wifi and a whole lot more that did not work lol.

but in a few days this guy has compiled a fairly stable and fully working kernel.

if i had a few hundred extra bucks laying around i would buy him a few cases of beer lol

arjen keep it up looking great you da man

as for now i can play with ics at night but have to switch back to stable stock GB during the day (my phone has a super hero complex i guess lol)
Don't worry about blackscreen bug, he said it's on his list. he also said that he's going to implement other features from the stock kernel.

Ugh, twice now I've had to restore my device because the firmware will randomly die and when I try to reboot it shows the cm9 button type bootscreen then shutdown... T_T

Did you do a full whipe before flasing and format /system?
Also, did you overclock?
Btw, it isn't really necessary to overclock, runs rather smooth at 480/600.

Trying to get a new build ready today, will keep you posted ;)

Same happened to me, twice now. exactly the same problem - full wipe,no overclock.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention a new bug. On AOKP, enabling the nav bar renders the rom unbootable. Shows splash screen, disappears then phone powers off.

I had the nav bar running just fine. then had screen tearing so i turned it off.

The nav bar works just fine as long as you don't click reboot now. I Just turned it back on and rebooted the phone myself and it is working. Got a system ui stopped working, but its fine now.

Other thread is kernel questions/problems (also on other roms), this is for cm9 questions/problems.
Not all problems are related to kernel :D

Send from my phone...

Building a new p505-build now, so far no errors on compiling. Will look at it when I am awake again

My current configuration works flawlessly on lg thrive with obb fix.

Thrive i a little different than Phoenix kernel wise dont know why they did it that way but i think the thrive phoenix and optimus one should all have been made alike but no lg had to go messing with tbings. Come to think of it phones should be made like computers completely upgradeable space, graphics, ram etc

it doesn't solve it completely does it?

no but if you can avoid turning your screen off and back on rapidly then you will be fine, i rarely get the bug by just waiting 5-10 seconds after the screen has shut off before i try to turn it back on.
