Try forgetting the network and turn off/on wifi then reconnect. For some reason it takes a reboot before wifi data works.

flashing new boot.img also broke wifi for me, tried doing the above with no success.

You can rename them, I do all of mine. Just don't use spaces.

I rename, and yes, no spaces. Otherwise I forget what they all are - I may have a dozen with all the various test things to try. Use CM9.A4.w.ISK.w.44 or CM7.02.07.12 and they all work for me.

The forget network, toggle wifi, toggle airplane, reboot does not get wifi back for me. I have to restore or flash the A4 ROM and GAPPS.

All is good here with .55 img. Solid Wifi, market, auto rotate home screen. Still not remembering settings.

Wiped just cache, flashed .55 img, flashed Iscream kernel, fixed permissions.

Here's a couple boot.img.
57 fixes multiple dhcpcd settings eth0 and wlan0. Wifi connects faster for me.
58 same but with Cheatman fixes.
service dhcpcd_wlan0 /system/bin/dhcpcd -ABLK wlan0

Reboot usually fixes wifi, at least for me.

And i made the alpha4 boot.img flashable too to got back to it.

Flash IScream kernel afterwards.

From what i've found for wifi, dhcpcd and wpa_supplicant will need to be upgraded to newer versions... version 6 or 8. Luckily LG still uses the same bcm4325 wireless chip in their newer phones.

Right now we are on
WPA_SUPPLICANT_VERSION := VER_0_5_X

57 is working well for me. The wireless driver is on the large size ~2.3 MB.

Kraven, I am running one of your older CM7 builds and really want to try out your CM9 build. I am just wondering if this would be a good daily driver or not. This is my only phone and can't afford to mess it up. I also use the native hotspot on your CM7, does it work on the CM9 builds? THanks man I love your work.

I would not consider CM9 to be a daily driver for most people. While many things do work, many more do not.
