[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

Fix for sound settings causing force close

Go to apps - manage apps - All. Find "Settings" and clear cache. This worked for me on CM7 RC1.

Tonight's build looks to be huge. Lot's of framework and backend stuff. kernel tweaks, Lock Screen mods, Album art enhancements, BLOB handeling which I would guess is for the camera/video stuff that's comming. And it's only 5:30 more may be added.

Come on Big 40 ;)

#13 My god son... you can't even Drive! We're sipping single malt and smoking stogies and you're poping zits wondering if Sally will go to the Dance!

Flash on you crazy diamond! LOL

;)

Looking to go from Virtious to #39... should I wait for #40, or can I just flash from without wipe from #39?
Thanks!

Going from Virtuous to CM you will need to do a full wipe. After that you can just wipe cache and dalvik and re-flash the nightlys. If you have a problem then you should do a full wipe and reload before reporting it.

Does touch-to-focus not work for anyone else? Touching the screen doesn't do anything in the stock camera app.

Using Vignette, it tries to refocus, but it always goes back to whatever is in the foreground.

Touch to focus and many other camera features are not in the builds yet. Cyanogen said that it was on the top of his list for this week so we may see it over the weekend or early next week, but as always... no ETA's! ;)

FYI - Re: 720P Video

This was posted on several of the CM7 threads for the DInc on XDA last night. Crondable - you may want to update the OP here as well.

720P recording will not be coming to CM7 at this time. We *MAY* see it later if we get an HTC GB leak, using an MSM device (aka not omap). But for now, if you HAVE to have 720P recording, stick with CM6.

The issue is that GB uses stagefright, and the hack it took to get 720p in CM6 wont work with stagefright. (it was done in opencore.) This is why we cant get it. The current driver implementation we have to work with is just not capable.

So there you go, you can stop wondering/asking/hoping.

@Trey - Congrats on the promotion!

There are more fixes/features in the nightlies. One that pops out is a fix for a latent rotary lock screen image that persists when answering a call. It's fixed in #39+. I’ve been using the nightlies as a daily driver since about #20 or so. Very stable.

I agree the nightlies seem stable to me. I been flashing since Nightly #32 or # 33 . I forgot which now ha , but no issues with them for me , :)

Man, I've been getting a ton of FC's with nightlies and CM7. Did full wipe, dalvik and everything. Even fixed permissions. Anything I'm missing?

Almost all my apps. I think the problem has to do with Ti Backup when I restored the apps with data NOT SYSTEM DATA. But those apps that keep like login information even those that don't will not work. I have to uninstall and re-install EACH AND EVERY APP. This blows. I have over 80 apps. That will take forever and defeats the whole purpose of Ti Backup.

I like to reinstall my apps from the market (appbrain to the rescue!) and then restore only the data from TI to those apps that really store important data. Like Angry Birds! ;)

I found this to be the most stable for me anyway.

And now that I'm trying to uninstall these apps it reboots.

*Sigh*'

TBolt can't come fast enough. This Incredible has had it. Bad week for flashing Roms for me.

Edit: so I finally uninstalled all the apps. Should I even bother trying to use Ti Backup to restore apps or do it manually?
