[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

I recently flashed incredikernal and miui camera do I have to reflash them after I update each nightly

You do have to flash Incredikernel again after each nightly, but it generally doesn't take more then a few seconds so no big deal. And if you installed the MIUI camera using a .zip file then you have to reflash that as well, though I posted a .apk of MIUI camera 17 a few pages back in this thread that you can install via Root Explorer or Astro, That you don't have to reflash, it stays in place along with all your other apps.

How are the latest nightlies treating everyone? I loaded cm7 the other day for first time and went with stable to start. I know latest nightlies have a lot of improvements so I want to update!

Running Nightly 107 now.. smooth sailing. The Cyanogen team really knows what they are doing!

At this stage of the game (nightly #107) every thing is about as stable as it gets. There probably won't be any huge leaps in the ROM but rather minor tweaks and bug fixes. Honestly I stopped reading the changelog because most of the "bugs" that get fixed I never noticed to begin with.

It's an awesome ROM prepared by an awesome team. It's safe to go with the nightlies as a daily driver.

Just to confirm to go from stable to nightly I should wipe cache and dalvik cache then load nightly correct? Apps and google apps should all remain? What about seetings and adw setup? Thx guys!

Yep, that sounds about right. And since you aren't doing a full wipe not only your apps but your settings, ADW setup, and everything else will remain in tact. :)

Apps missing from "My Apps" after fresh install

So I was going through the nightlies the past few months with no issues, then lately no matter which one I tried or what I did, the FC's were preventing me from using my phone at all they were popping up so much. So I wiped fresh, and installed 105. The problem is, my market apps only showed about half the apps I actually had downloaded in the past.

If I hadn't had Titanium backup to show me all the apps that I had in the past, I'm sure I would have forgotten some until I went to use them again. I was able to reinstall them one by one but it was a pain. My question, how can I insure my market/google account backs up all the apps I have installed? That way next time I do a full wipe, I don't spend 3 hours looking up tons of apps individually to download. Thanks!

I've never had any FC problems with the nightlies, odd. And sometimes I have an issue where the market only shows me that apps I've paid for and not the free apps I have installed, but a simple reboot usually takes care of it.

Yeah it was FC'ing like crazy. I never thought about simply rebooting. Mine was a combination of what I paid for and a few frees ones. I will try that next time, hopefully it will show all my apps.

Set up an Appbrain account at Top Android Apps and Games in the Android Market | AppBrain.com and then download their app from the market. You can sync all your apps to Appbrain and it will keep a list for you.

Appbrain is a bit of a pain when you switch ROM's. It reads the new ROM as a new "profile" and you have to log into the web and copy/move them from one to another but at least you have a list.

Hope this helps.

Woohoo, just loaded nightly 107. Quick and painless from the stable as you all said. I have to admit I am loving this whole ROMing thing :).

Can someone send me a link for the changelog of the different nightlies. I must be blind cause I couldn't find it while browsing the CM site.

Also, I been into a whole red thing lately, does anyone happen to know of a red theme for CM and maybe ADW as well?

ROMing is fun, isn't it. Maybe I'm just a huge nerd, but I actually enjoy flashing the nightlies. :D

Here is the link for the changelogs. And as for a red CM7 theme, I use a theme called blue bionic, and I believe the developer of that theme made a red version as well. Search for "blue bionic" in the market and take a look at the dev's other apps and you should find it.

EDIT-I went and hunted down the red theme. It's called Red Remix. I hope it's along the lines of what your looking for.

omg, this theme is awesome! Many thanks!

I definitely have the bug now. Might look into changing up the boot animation :)
