new 'profile" setting
Question: FOR everyone that has flashed i think 13 or higher, has anyone experimented with the new 'Profile' settings? If so, what do you think... I set up a new profile for when my Girl friend comes over, i just set it and forget it. its nice.

Crondable, again thanks for the link to voltage tweeks the other day... it took me some time but I set it up nicely... I am getting at least 2 more hrs of battery life a day. and i use my phone, lets just say, Often.... if im not on FB, i am on tapatalk following this and other threads. Not to mention I manage my work pc from my phone at home when needed. The only thing that will devour my battery is two apps: ACast( for my podcasts ) and anything using FLASH... i just got a new battery also, a 1750mAh

LOL... not to forget her, she gets extremely annoyed sometimes at how much time i spend on my phone, computer, anything tech... So I just set it to "act" a certain way as not to distract me when she is around. one thing I need to stay on top of is my job so I didn't count that out. I work at funeral home and when someone dies I need to know ASAP!!! you can create a new profile and name it what ever you want... I deleted a couple of the profiles that came stock with it too. it could use some more options, but over all its nice. webOS did an amazing job with something similar to this, ALOT of customizations for specific set profiles....Havent messed with the profiles yet.
Updated to nightly 14. Only issues have been minor; dock disappeared, but reappeared after reboot. And a few times the phone took about 25 sec to wake up from sleep.
Running just the cyano+slayher kernel that comes with.

I just set up some profiles this morning. The granularity it provides both in setting behaviors for each group and configuring what apps belong to each group is great.
I am just curious as to what you mean by "granularity"... I think I have been through all the profile setting for apps and groups and havent seen anything having to do with granularity... when you say that, I immediately think of screen resolution!?!
I was referring to the level of customization available. Specifically, I really liked that you can add or remove applications from each application group. For example, I wanted my yahoo mail app to behave like my gmail, so I put them both in the email group and deleted the gmail group.
This, along with being able to configure each group's behavior independently, is a pretty awesome feature.
Thank you for clarifying rpz.. I totally agree with you I really do like this feature and I am hope it Will lead to even more customization then what we can do now...

Now all we need is the ability to have profiles automatically engage based on time, like the quiet hours.
There is already the ability to do that on certain phone platforms. I am sure they will improve on this in a few more builds (Or at least I hope so)... It would also be nice to be able to tweak the voltages through a nice user interface, However, I am sure if they made that possible a lot of people Would destroy their phones because they Would not know what they are doing

Added invisiblek's newest kernel to the OP, same concept, just updated to match the latest updates to the stock kernel by slayher. Also removed the link to slayher's kernel from the OP, as it is old, and he no longer releases them seperately. The .37 kernel has been stock CM7 for quite a while.
Hopefully bizdady can get the MetaMorph for the Honeycomb lockscreen fixed, I was going to add it to the OP, but then realized I was bootlooping because of it after flashing 14. Let's go #15!

Sooo......my last two nandroid backups failed miserably...anyway to stop this from happening???
I didn't get a message saying there wasn't enough space so I assume so...they restore but when I load them all my data is missing
Wish I could help on this one... I have only ever reverted back one time and that was from 7 back to 6 ( I use ROM manager for backups).. everything went smooth for me. just curious, why are you wanting to revert back? are you having trouble with the nightlies?
