[ROM][JB][WIP] CyanogenMod 10 for LG-P505/506

For now and future references every time I flash a new build do I have to flash the catapult and gapps also?

Not sure about future ROMs but the 8/1 build has gapps and Google now with updated fixes preinstalled. I just had to flash catapult patch

I flashed 8/1 and gapps. Catapult wasn't needed and my Google top search bar stopped working.

Good morning problems...
OK: The SU binaries won't update because we have 4KB left on the system partition. I'm thinking of rewriting the bootloader to allow it more like 210MB instead of 190MB but I won't do that unless we really have to.

As for flashing GApps and Catapult patch, please flash both until I can get the darn thing to included Catapult in the ROM. However my 8/1 build did include it. Had to put it in manually.

And yes the 8/1 build broke the top search bar. Flash my latest Google Now fix to fix that.

You really should reboot between flashes. Either reboot into the ROM or select 'Advanced' from CWM main menu and then select 'Reboot Recovery'.

I'm downloading the latest build now. Will check it to see if the launcher was included this time cause it wasn't included in the last build. It wouldn't hurt anything to install the Catapult patch even if it's included with the ROM tho.

I always do a factory reset. This wipes user data, cache, .android_secure, and sd-ext if you have one. Then I goto the 'Advanced' option in CWM main screen and choose 'Wipe Dalvic cache' and also 'Wipe battery stats'. Hopefully this may help.

No dice.

And I thought the catapult patch was only for p506?

That's the problem. You are using the P505 CWM. I didn't fix the issue where it only lets you flash ROMs specific to that device yet. Hm... Can you wait for another P505 build? I'll build one tonight for you.

Yep.

What time exactly? No rush, but I'm anxious to finally get this ROM working.

Who wanted a CWM Touch?
Well, here it is!!
Generic for both P505 and P506, should flash all Thunderg ROMs (P500, P505, P506, P509-if you can find any...)
And its TOUCH!!!
Don't complain about stuff being too big though...

Should also fix the MD5 sums issue

Ummm... Screen just black when I rebooted into recovery.

......
Hm, it may be configured for P506 only....
Which of course would cause it to crash on P505
Either that or your phone has issues...

I tried the new recovery. It boots fine for me. Couple things tho:
- Screen is really dim
- The overall size of everything, which was mentioned already. Because of this you still need to use the volume keys to navigate thru the choices :(

Haven't tried anything else other than browsing thru the menu options. You're making progress tho. And I do like this approach better than the other touch recovery I use. ;)
