[ROM][Repost][06/05/11] Comm ROM 2.1 (UKB) from TSM **Updated 06/20/11**

Re: TSM Market app list and fxpms not working

For some reason it is being reported by users the fix permissions and battery stats scripts are not working with the PBJ kernel. I have not yet had an opportunity to test this to verify. You may want to flash the ComaVolt kernel in order to run the fix permissions script to see if that addresses your issue. But first you should go menu=>settings=>applications=>manage applications=>all, scroll to TSM market, click on it, and click clear data for the app and see if that addresses the problem you are having with the market.

Thanks Shark. I had tried clearing data a couple of hours ago and TSM Market just populated. Not sure why the delay but it worked.

I'll try the ComaVolt kernel and report back.

As always, thanks for the assist.

Switched over to ComaVolt. Seems a little faster and smoother. And I can now run fxpms. Thanks for the tip.

What have you tried to fix it already? Have you tried fixing permissions?

honestly i haven't tried anything yet b/c i couldn't figure out what might be causing it to do that. what would fix permissions do for it?

Mine was doing the same thing to a the extent of making everything FC. I had to reflash and wipe data. I switched to comavolt kernel and all has been good so far. Try Comavolt.

Honestly, I'm not totally sure, I just know that whenever my phone is acting wonky, running an fxpms in terminal emulator or using CWM to do that clears up the problem. BigJobbber has a point with the new kernel also.

Flash Comavolt than do the whole calibrate battery thing. I am in the process of seeing if it is gonna be good for battery still. on my 2nd day off re calibrate so cant tell yet.

when you say re calibrate it do you mean wipe batt stats thru cwm?

Re: [ROM][Repost][06/05/11] Comm ROM 2.1 (UKB) from TSM **Updated

Yah or terminal emulator...

1. Charge the battery to 100%

2. Get a terminal emulator from the market

3. Open terminal emulator, type “su” next to the $ sign and press enter
a. You should get a pop up that says “super user permission granted”
b. You should see a # sign

4. Next to the # sign type "bstats” and press enter
a. Your phone will reboot

This is straight from mikes thread find that ---->Here This is a great read if you havent read it yet anyways.

i am having about the same issue, sometimes with the web it tells me no connection available, in market too, so i tried your fix here and now i just get an error i'm running the 2.0comrom package with pbj 50, have 2.1comrom patch over it (steelblue v3.1 theme for comrom2.1 also). tried the GB modem, tried ec01 modem, tried ed04 (thinking it was my modem) and no fix. sooooo what comavolt kernel are we suggesting here, i'll flash that instead.

will i have to go stock/comavolt&comrom 2.0 (without kernel) then patch to 2.1 or can i just flash the comavolt kernel ?

You can just flash the comavolt kernel, no going back to stock required. Just make sure you get the right one, as UKB 2.1 is voodoo.

Re: [ROM][Repost][06/05/11] Comm ROM 2.1 (UKB) from TSM **Updated

I've noticed an odd mini-reboot happening with my phone lately, one that is random enough that I have been unable to logcat it as of yet (still working on this, figured I would post to see if this has happened to anyone else).

I am currently on ComRom 2.1 PBJ -50 ED04. This odd reboot has only happened on the lockscreen (I thought maybe that was the culprit, but it has now happened on both the 4Tab and AOSP style), and from what I can gather it seems to happen after the phone has not been used for a bit (with "a bit" being loosely defined as anything that ranges from 10 or so minutes to a couple hours). The likelihood of it occurring seems to go up considerably if there was a text message or phone call coming in that initiated my need to wake the phone up, and if I was especially reactive to said notification (although this isn't always the case). What ends up happening is the lock screen appears, but is unresponsive for about 3-5 seconds, and I then find myself at the ANDROID logo typically seen after Samsung when rebooting. Upside is the reboot is quicker, but the downside is... well, I guess the downside is I don't know what the downside might be. The phone seems to happy enough afterwards at least. This happened on the EC09 modem as well (initiating my switch to ED04), and has happened when the battery was low, mid-charged, fully charged, and charging. I never encountered this on ComRom 2.0. Methinks the kernel perhaps - I see Comavolt in my future.

Had this EXACT thing happening to phone as well. Long story short, was happening on the OTB 1.6 kernel and PBJ -50 and also with ED04 and EC09 modems. Decided to get a clean slate by flashing to DL09 in oden and then OTA'd back to Froyo. Then I flashed Com Rom 2.0, Flashed the 2.1 patch and then enabled voodoo and flashed ComaVolt. So far, after almost a week, I have not had any of those "mini reboots" where you only see the Android logo. Haven't had any problems of any kind so far.

I used to sport the Crysis Revolution theme, but since getting my phone to the most stable it's been I don't want to make any changes.

Re: [ROM][Repost][06/05/11] Comm ROM 2.1 (UKB) from TSM **Updated

Well at least it isn't unique to me I guess. I kept trying to get a logcat, but I grew impatient (read: wanted to flash something) and decided to switch to ComaVolt last night - so far so good, but it's a bit early to say for sure yet.

Re: TSM Market app list and fxpms not working

ok, so i tried Landshark's fix about going to apps and clearing data and that didn't work. alot of my stuff won't connect, i get "not connected to internet" or "no connection" errors randomly on some apps and even the browser, i've tried 3 diffrent modems (ED01, ED04, EC09) did the *228 (1 & 2 several times ) i've done resets, wipes, i've even gone stock, ota'ed froyo, reinstalled ComRom2.0, patched 2.1 then themed and still having an issue... any thoughts?

I was having an exact same problems as you over the weekend. Come to find out, there was no 3G icon on my status bar at all and no connection. I called verizon customer service and talked with 'Android specialist' (yeah.... don't ever do that). If you have an older verizon phone, get them to do the ESN swap on your account. what do you know, the 3G icon came back magically and everything works now (I was on ECLAIR) and ODINed UKB 2.0 no kernal and flashed 2.1 patch.

This is the instruction that I followed step by step.

It's smooth as stripper's legs now. Hope it helps.

Re: [ROM][Repost][06/05/11] Comm ROM 2.1 (UKB) from TSM **Updated

So do people usually wait for an update to the rom to get the newest Google maps? Or can we we update it on our own? If the latter, how do we go about updating maps?

Thanks for any help :)
