Samsung.com Note 7 Recall Thread

I just remember the way they took their time with the pre-orders. Hopefully this will be different.

Coolbreeze78,

Did you decide if you are going to take the exchange or not? I know you said you had or were moving to iPhone? You fought so hard to get the new Note it would be a shame not to enjoy it.

I'm conflicted, but I've placed the "re-order" that we've been fighting for, so we shall see. What's interesting is AmEx already refunded my full $907, so it's going to be interesting to see if Samsung ships the replacement. I'm betting they will, given how disorganized they are. My order #'s don't match, so hey, I'll take a free Note 7. At this point, I almost feel like I've spent over $900 worth of labor on this fiasco to be honest.

Yes you did!

What in me don't trust Samsung.com until I see it. They sent us order confirmations on Friday and when I go in Samsung.com website I don't see it there. I remember when I pre-ordered it sat there in "processing order status" for days.. So this quiet time has me wondering again.

Yeah I'm thinking they went nuts with communication late last week (out of nowhere) just to calm us down and get us off their back. I'm betting it will be ~2 weeks before devices arrive. We shall see.

No cause to Celebrate

I filled out the digital form out Thursday, Sept 22 at 10 pm.
Received 2 emails early Saturday morning confirming my order.

What has that accomplished?

I got no shipping info as my replacement phone hasn't shipped.

Samsung recall saga continues.

Woe is me!
:'(

are we supposed to return the charger and stuff from the old box? pen?

People who bought from carriers, aside from being treated like royalty, kept everything (including s-pen). No problem mon, hey it's allright no worries!

So, I'm just sending back the bare phone and box. Nothing else.

I'd like to see Samsung come after me with an invoice for these penny value items. War will be had.

All they want back is the device that can burn your house down. At least that's what I'm operating under.

Very confusing sequence of events going on now...

I did a chargeback last week with AmEx. Was fully refunded...

Got the email from Samsung last week for the replacement, ordered it ($0) and changed color to silver.

Just got a call from Samsung (out of Texas) with zero knowledge I've already placed a replacement order online. I didn't mention it. She took my info and said it would be replaced. I asked if I could switch from blue to silver, she said probably not but she'd try.

I just called my local T-Mo store and they have them in stock, right now.

So, will I end up with two Note 7's from Samsung, for free? I mean, if so, I probably should just go get the one from the T-Mobile store and end all of this.

I can't help but think Samsung will catch the chargeback and not ship a replacement. I guess if they do, I could always just return it (or them).

This is the biggest circus I've ever been a part of. It's kinda....fun.

Guess if I wait on Samsung.com to ship one (or two) of them, I may not end up with a phone at all since I've been refunded from the charge-back (if they catch it...surely they would, no?). I could go to the T-Mo store that's 2 miles away, end this fiasco in the next 15 minutes, and possibly end up with 2 or 3 phones.

Talk about confusing...

Coolbreeze78, If this wasn't so aggravating it would be fun watching what's happening to you. Did she give you a clue when they would be shipping it to you? I also made a call to them last Thursday before I know about the online deal and they swore I would get a call Friday or Monday. Of course no call..

If you want a free phone, and you all sure deserve it, you might not want to tip Samsung off by talking about it here.

Eh, I'll pay for something I buy. Nothing in life is free. I just find the unorganized nature of this entire operation completely amateur.

And no the lady didn't say anything about shipping. She was part of a "call center mill" in Texas, not an employee of Samsung/Digital River.

After calling T-Mobile and being told they have them in stock, I drove there to end this madness. They told me they can't sell them and have to hold them for exchanges. Shared my little Samsung.com story. They were shocked.

Left empty handed.

Can't make this stuff up folks.

I may call CPSC back again tomorrow. I had called them last week to post a complaint and never got a call back. Will stay on them. No need in calling Samsung.com. I don't think through this entire fiasco of pre-order and recall have I gotten a callback to any of the calls they said they would. I know one thing as stated by almost all of us that I will NEVER order through Samsung.com again.I hope people who read this thread take heed to all the warnings we have given out.
