Sprint S3: Wicked Sensations 5.0

Re: Wicked Sensations 5.0

It technically isn't The Kuban, but it works great. I just got it up and running. Thanks for the link!

Re: Wicked Sensations 5.0

Wicked users....4.3 is on the way. It is looking awesome so far, from what I have seen of it.

Ben playing with it for 3 hours now. LOVE IT. But, where is the Kuban updater? (there's still a lot of things I'm still figuring out)

Re: Wicked Sensations 5.0

I have not had or seen anyone else post with this issue. Does this happen over mobile data or wifi? Did you do a clean install(this is very important with the update to 4.3)?

Re: Wicked Sensations 5.0

Yes I did do wipe and after installing the rom installed the mk3 ill do it again see if that helps

Re: Wicked Sensations 5.0

Running for 3 days now. Perfect! However, I have 1 complaint... No flashlight button in the pull down. :(

Re: Wicked Sensations 5.0

Those things are coming. Technically this is a beta version.

Re: Wicked Sensations 5.0

Ok, and the hot spot too. Flashlight and hotspot. Don't forget, lol
I don't know why I like seeing my data speed so much, but I do. :-!

Re: Wicked Sensations 5.0

Hotspot is already there. Its the hacked native mod. Just use the sprint hotspot app.

I think that may be coming from the internet app and not necessarily anything to do with the ROM. When apps are themed, they are opened and colors are edited but that's it. Don't mess with the parts that make the app work.

Re: Wicked Sensations 5.0

How is everyones battery life on this rom because mine is pretty bad. Yes, I did a very 'clean' install. Great rom otherwise!

Re: Wicked Sensations 5.0

Generally, I easily get a day -- plus sometimes -- depending on on how much I use my phone.

I ALWAYS use poweramp in the morning on my commute to work. My commute to work is usually about an hour. On stock (4.1.2) I would usually have between 94-96% battery life when I got to work. Today, when I got to work, I was at 82%. I'm trying to figure out what may be doing this but I've been fine combing everything I put in this damn phone, lol! I'm hoping its something I can fix because I like the rom. If I can't resolve this, I may just end up giving up and going to 4.3 stock (non-rooted) completely. I guess I need good battery life for my daily driver.

I've been on this ROM for over a month, and to tell you the truth my phone has out performed my wife's Sprint SGS3 in every area. My phone was faster, battery life longer, and just looked better. Now there are quite a few kernels out there that can be flashed that affect battery life, amongst other things, but that is the joy of having a custom ROM: experimentation and learning about Android.

I was speaking of my wife's phone in the past tense earlier because she is now on this ROM for many of the same reasons I and others are. Additionally, there are many apps in the play store that allow root users to tweak their kernel for many reasons including battery saving reasons. Ultimately, the choice to go back stock is your decision, but for me I like the choice to do what I want with my phone and without the restrictions imposed by the carriers (i.e., bloatware, ads and Samsung's Knox on 4.3).

One last thing: there's always the option of flashing to more of a pure AOSP experience with a ROM like CyanogenMod or some of the other stripped down, lightweight ROMs. By doing this you can, in essence, build your own ROM with just the basics. The choices are endless. :-)
