Re: Wicked Sensations 5.0
I'm going to hold out and see if things get better. I'm hopeful that I can get this issue resolved. Yes, the choices are endless but I don't want to be endlessly looking to fix things here and there, lol! I'm just being lazy I suppose.
I've been on this ROM for over a month, and to tell you the truth my phone has out performed my wife's Sprint SGS3 in every area. My phone was faster, battery life longer, and just looked better. Now there are quite a few kernels out there that can be flashed that affect battery life, amongst other things, but that is the joy of having a custom ROM: experimentation and learning about Android.
I was speaking of my wife's phone in the past tense earlier because she is now on this ROM for many of the same reasons I and others are. Additionally, there are many apps in the play store that allow root users to tweak their kernel for many reasons including battery saving reasons. Ultimately, the choice to go back stock is your decision, but for me I like the choice to do what I want with my phone and without the restrictions imposed by the carriers (i.e., bloatware, ads and Samsung's Knox on 4.3).
One last thing: there's always the option of flashing to more of a pure AOSP experience with a ROM like CyanogenMod or some of the other stripped down, lightweight ROMs. By doing this you can, in essence, build your own ROM with just the basics. The choices are endless.![]()
