T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I got orchid grey, very underrated color. Black is so boring

I have the Orchid Grey on my S8+ and I love it!! It is so easy on the eyes and it not a blah black. Even though I keep a case on it I do take that case off from time to time and just admire how nice it is! I may have to get a nice clear case to show it off.

I ordered the Note 8 using BOGO and got the second line which I will place in my iPhone 5 until I can cancel the second. I was told I need to keep it 6 months at $30 additional per month. So I get a free Note 8 for $180 which I will sell for considerably more.

Wait until 5 am. You'll see movement if T-Mobile released the phones. Make me wish I wouldn't have paid for Next Day Air but my S8+ will hold me till it arrives.

I got my Next Day Air for free when I pre-ordered via customer service on the phone and simply asked. :D

So technically, i don't no why they really hold the devices until the release date, especially when they already have the stock + they have even assigned the IMEI numbers for the Pre-orders. I think the companies should really change their way of Pre-Order / Release Date. If someone pre-orders something then there should be probability of shipping the device as soon as it's available in the Inventory. Instead of waiting for no reason until the release date.

While I agree with you 100% I liken it to being akin to game pre-orders. You don't get to play the game before everyone else just because you pre-ordered it. True, some games have beta's that you can access as a benefit (e.g., Destiny 2), but, that's not the FULL game.

If Verizon is shipping by the 5th then I hope we get to see ours soon....still no status change with my shipping. Even tho this is my first pre order and I would like to have my phone sooner cuz I'm upgrading from a stylo 3 plus I guess it will get here when it gets here.....lol

Wow stylo 3 to note 8? You are going to love it!

Orchid Grey on S8 and Note8 are two different colors, though.

Note 3 - Note 4 - Note 5, turned the N5 in for the N7 (JOD), loved the N7, zero issues. Swapped once, then had to return it for the final recall. I got the S7 Edge. It broke 4 months ago(gravity induced) and I got the S7 to hold me over until the Note 8.

So I am going from a phone that was released a year and a half ago, to the latest. It will be a major upgrade for me.

Excuse me, had to hit F5 on the UPS.COM web site

If you have the S8 or S8+ yes, the only changes I see is bigger screen, dual camera, 6GB of RAM & the S Pen. But from the 7 Series devices, its a pretty good jump as far as specs go.

I was wondering if anyone here has taken advantage of t-mobile BOGOs in the past. The only way to be eligible for a BOGO is if you add a new line to your existing account. In my case, my wife and I couldn't take advantage of it, since both of our phones were already on the account. After crunching some numbers and speaking to the store rep, I was told that if we started a new line, we would get a gift card in the mail within two months for the full amount of the phone and 2 months after that we could cancel the new line with no penalties.

So the caveat is that we would have to pay for a line that is not being used for 4 months in order to get a $930 phone for free. I will be paying $40/month for the extra line so it seems like a good trade. $120 for $930.

I feel like there must be a way to cheat the system even further and forego paying the $120 altogether. Does anyone have any suggestions? According to the sales rep, if I cancel the new line before 4 months, I will get billed for the phone in its entirety, but after 4 months I will be in the clear.

Yea from everything I been seeing I really going to enjoy it...its going to be great for class

We were just in the store today and were told had to keep the line for 6 months in order to avoid paying for the device.

On my UPS page I see...

  • Order Processed: Ready for UPS
  • Shipped
  • In Transit
  • Out for Delivery
  • Delivered

I have been at the 1st stage "Order Processed: Ready for UPS" since Aug 30th @ 1:51 pm

When I see it in "In Transit" and I see the stages from Kentucky to where I live in the Tampa area, then I know its on the move.

Patience is a virtue I do not have and this is driving me nuts.
