Didn't mean to sound snarky, that wasn't my intent. Sounds like we are on the same page, I apologize if it came off sounding rude.
I'm pretty sure it depends on the rep and what call center you get. I've had pretty consistent luck with them on Twitter, but it's not uncommon for me to get 2 different answers when I call or ask a store employee. They are overall the best wireless company to deal with here in the States (which the bar is set pretty low), but they still have an internal communication problem from the top down. The Note 7 fiasco was a great example of that.
Don't expect free shipping from T-mobile ever anymore. I think they started this a few months ago.
All I can say is for the time I've been with TMO I've never had an issue with their customer service. Happy every time.
It seems that the call center I get is in Witchita, KS; considering I'm located in TX, makes sense. I don't know where their call centers are, that's just what the reps I speak to say.
So for the 2nd time in a week, I just got told by a rep that they no longer offer JOD! I don't even have a T-Mobile phone yet and I'm not super thrilled with their customer service.
yes. I've always considered t-mobile as a viable alternative to either V or A (not if they were the last cell carriers on earth) should I decide to leave Sprint. doesn't feel like it anymore.Next time if they give you a hard time, snarkily refer to their own page on HOW TO ENROLL. Because it's definitely there.
The sad thing in all of this is, out of the four big guys, T-Mobile is the best. But that sets the bar regrettably low.

Damn the UPS truck just drove by my house and I almost had a stroke LOL
Don't think theyre being punished. I can't imagine some are ok to ship and other carriers are not. Last yeasr I got my Note 7 I think maybe 2 days before street date. S8+was 2 or 3 days before. Certainly not early in my case anyway with Tmobile. If they process this evening or tomorrow a.m. they'll deliver this week. Will be interesting to see what happens overnight and if the other carriers that show 9.5 delivery actually get them 9.5.Tmobile is probably being punished for sending out phones early in the past. I still say they ship on the 11th.

I'm a T-Mobile customer and have one preordered. I too have the tracking info from UPS, but nothing else.
I'd be curious to know what shipping that each carrier/Samsung/Best Buy uses. I think that the updates are dependent on the shipping company and FedEx, which Verizon uses, seems to give frequent updates, where UPS doesn't. A similar thing happened when I got my Galaxy S8 in April. I ordered this at the T-Mobile store on 3/31/17 (Friday) and it got to me 2 days before the official release. I was curious about how the shipping went with UPS - when they actually sent it (when the shipping notice went out) and how long it took to arrive. I just logged in to T-Mobile and pulled up my info and then clicked on the tracking for that, which of course was with UPS then as well. It was due to be released on 4/21 (a Friday). Per UPS it was "shipped/billed" on 4/14/17 (Friday). I didn't received any further updates on this until it was delivered... I know, because I was at work and not expecting it to arrive. It arrived on 4/19 (Wednesday) during the workday. I was able to click on the "Shipping Progress" on this old order and in fact see that they did only have two notations:
??????, TX, US 04/19/2017 12:27 P.M. Delivered
United States 04/14/2017 5:44 P.M. (ET) Order Processed: Ready for UPS
So, excluding Sunday, which UPS doesn't deliver on, at the point it was shipped, it took 4 days to arrive. UPS shows that I did next day air saver then, which I did this time too. I received the shipped notification on 8/31, so if the same holds true, I will hopefully have it this week!
