Apparently my replacement was delivered this morning to my "local store". Didn't get any kind of update that it was delivered though. Reached out to TMo help on Twitter to get the tracking number. That's how I found out.
Better go out and get that Note
 
I chatted with a TMo rep yesterday. They said that, as of now, they are only replacing N7's through in-store exchange. They are not yet shipping replacement N7's to homes for exchange. The retail store exchange doesn't work for me since it usually takes me at least 2 days to get everything transferred from my old phone to my new one and feel confident I didn't miss anything. Hopefully the logjam will clear soon and they'll start shipping replacements to homes rather than just stores.

Can't you backup all of your files to a computer? Once downloaded to your computer, you have everything at your disposal.
Your apps will be in the Play store and you can selectively install them any time.
What takes 2 days to transfer?
 
Mine was approved as well. I never heard back on my submission for loaner device, but I already have a VR so no big deal. I got the watch with first Note and the SD card with second Note.

TForce got back to me after I went to bed. They mentioned that it may not have been checked in yet for the reason I haven't gotten a delivered notice. I can't go today anyway because my closest store is an hour drive and I have to work 11 hrs today. My dept is extremely short staffed right now. 3 employees to cover running 24 hrs/day 7days/week. I don't even know when my next off day is currently. I'm gonna call them after 10 eastern and explain my situation. Hopefully they'll hold on to it until I can make it there.

There is no easy method to backup and restore application data. Not all apps sync to the cloud.

I use helium which works well but is wonky to say the least - it usually takes several tries before I get a good backup (it often just hangs). Even so there are a lot of settings that don't transfer well - like my highly customized launcher. It has it's own backup and restore mechanism separate from everything else.

There are also apps that encrypt their data using a key unique to the device so it literally cannot read the data on any other device. These have to be migrated carefully. Google two-factor authentication is another example - you have to deauthorize one device then authorize the new device and you can't have more than one device authorized at a time.

My phone is my primary computing device so I depend on it being setup "just so". Google "sad state of android backup" - I'm not the only one who struggles with this. I'm hoping Samsung's cloud backup will address this but it remains to be seen.
 
I got my replacement the box has the square but is not the"V2" version I did the update and checked my imei and it checked out fine should I be concerned?

My logic was that the V2 versions are actual newly made devices while the ones without it are brand new but were part of the old batch that was not affected by the battery issue....and they just checked it out again to ensure safety. I remember when some stores had got replacement devices ahead of time and had to send them back once the government got involved (probably actually kept them until they got safety notices)...that had to be the none V2 batch .
 
Now the store that signed for my Note 7 yesterday morning says it's not there and that no one works there with the name that is on UPS site that signed for it. Trying to get in touch with TForce again. This is BS

Wow! I'd be livid. When they ship phones to stores like this, are the IMEI or serial number linked to your account, I wonder? Mine are en route as well.
If someone tries to activate it, I am wondering if they could block it.

I hope you get that resolved quickly. I went through some similiar when the intial release of the note happened. UPS said it delievered the package to my front door but it delivered it to my neighbor.

Thanks. I'm thinking I might just return my recalled Note and the loaner and just buy unlocked from here on out.
 
i had to do the same .i got a text when i ordered replacement.i received a second text when it shipped thats it.no Emails.no tracking delivery or shipper info.i called T mobile they couldnt tell me anything more .I got on twitter used Tmobile help.person was great confirmed my info on my acct and within a few moments she told me ups gave me tracking info and that it would be delivered today by 3pm.Sure enough went on ups tracked it got a text from ups it was delivered at noon.

Same thing happened to me. I called the store to ask if it was where and they said yes, asked if I could come and pick it up and they said sure. So I get there and the phone has not been updated in the system so they can't release it to me. I'm thinking the SKU's need to be entered into the system (this was mentioned on the 20th that stores had them but couldn't release them yet due to updating the system with the SKU's) and until that happens my phone just sits at my store. I received the text that it shipped and it did mention that I will get a text when it's ready to be picked up, the store rep said as soon as the system gets updated and they can release it I'll get a text that I can pick it up. She said until I get that text there is nothing they can do. It's corporate who has to enter the info into the system, I really wish they'd get their crap together, I just want my frickin' phone back.
