T-Mobile Note 7 Recall Thread

Impossible to find a good screen protector for this phone, bout to keep it naked... I have try about 4 different ones and they all eventually lift up
 
Finally got mine replaced today. I felt sorry for the store employee that helped me, it was a mess trying to figure out how to return the loaner. I have paperwork for everything, but somehow my account has a credit of 350 dollars. I'll deal with that Monday lol. Like the new notification panel and the other updates
 
Anyone get the $10 Samsung Pay promo yet for their first purchase with the new note 7? Got mine the other day. Used a few times. There was one place it didn't want to work though -walmart at a very outdated card reader
 
All's well that ends well, but what a process! I was the first customer to exchange N7 bought in store with all the paperwork.
5 young girls huddling, calling absent store manager, regional manager, supportdesk, downloading instructions, "oh my God! Says here were not supposed to turn the darn thing on" and "No you can't keep the stylus... on second thought after what Samsung put us through keep it" and "what green battery icon honey, it's white, no matter what I do"
Almost 2 hours later I was on my way home where that amazing Samsung cloud duplicated everything.
Thrilled!
 
Because we returned ours to the store on the 13th, we had some issues yesterday. Apparently, if you get a warranty exchange sent to the store, they need to have your old phone in possession at the same time so they can return it via a different channel. Since we didn't have them any more, they had to call corporate to have our EIP's cancelled so they could process as a new order. Because we only received one of the 2 warranty exchange phones to the store yesterday, we were able to get both new phones because they received in 30 that day.
After a lot of waiting (approximately 70 minutes or so - felt like 2 hours), we leave and I can't make calls. It goes straight to T-mobile and they said my sim was not the one registered on my line.
I KNEW I should have used the old one, but I thought I read somewhere on here to use the one that came with the new phone.
Ugh. Brutal. But, it's over now.
 
Made the mistake of having a phone sent to the store. Now that the store has the right color, they can't exchange. Have to wait for the phone to arrive and go through the processing. The system should accept an exchange at the store anytime regardless if they are sending one later. Lawyers will love this if a phone burns that was refused at the store for exchange.
With ours, they said they were just sending ours back to T-mobile. You shouldn't have to use that one if they have stock.
 
Anyone do an exchange without having the original credit card? I have one Note 7 on my account that needs to be swapped but the person on my account is not in the same state as me and I put the charge for the phone on my card. It was JOD and so it was the assisted service fee bs that was charged only (they credited my account when I bought the original Note but charged my card). When I returned my Note 7 in store they actually refunded that amount to my card because that's what it showed that I paid. I'm just wondering if it's going to be an issue for the person going to the store if they don't have my card. It's only $21 and I didn't actually pay it because I got the credit but I don't want that to cause an issue in the return process.
 
I called Thursday afternoon to have my replacement phone to my store. Earlier that day I had one store take my name and number to call when one comes in of my color choice. Fast forward to Friday the T-Mobile store calls me saying that have phones that came in want me to hold one for you? I'm mad at this point and I call the 1-844 number and hope to cancel the order nope its to late. Playing phone tag between the store and the rep's..the store says I can't swap colors because the replacement phone is assigned to me. Now I'm on chat with T-Mobile through messenger and its says I may not get the phone until Tuesday or later. Dang I should have held off a day, but I didn't know. Now I'm ticked. What should I do?

Nothing you can do. You have to wait till your phone cone in. If you get a good rep at the store they should let you still change the color. Good luck hope it works out

The store should be able to return it back to T-mobile. Ours did. Not sure if they will do it correctly. But, that's not my problem. I have one phone per line and the store is the one that told me I couldn't use them. Good luck.

Agreed. I bought this one on Amazon and it is definitely a must have.

I didn't get the charging pads but tmo did issue a credit to my account after I explained to them all the trouble I had doing the swap.
 
Guys they didn't give them to me. Well Tmobile gave me the 1st one but I bought the 2nd cause I liked it so much I wanted one for my office as well.
