I am curious now to see how T-mobile will handle this.

Many people have loaners being shipped to them. Should they stop the loaners from going out?

Will we have to go to a store to hand in the defective note 7?

Hi y'all. Been lurking since Announcement of the 7. Upgraded from my 4 that i bought the day it launched. got the blue 7 LOVE IT. posting from it right now in fact.
But i just read an update on Samsung's website. That has the date of the sep 21st for replacements. Hope this is right.
Not trying to get people's hopes up. Or troll anyone

Galaxy Note7 Safety Recall and Exchange Program

This is my first post in your forum. So i had to manually type the address. As it would not let me past the link...

Have an affected unit checked the IMEI number too. Called a corporate T-Mobile store where I got my interm unit s7 edge. Asked about replacement unit date and what Samsung and CPSCA said and he couldn't give me a date or confirm before the 19th. Of course this just came out but I have some faith T-Mobile stores will have them before the date or on Monday.

I did ask how T-Mobile would notify when replacements are available and he said through a text.

As I've mentioned before in this thread I am keeping my Note 7 because it is working nice and cool not even hot when charging. That being said I went ahead and ordered this so I could charge it with a little bit more peace of mind and to have handy just in case LOL.//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160915/e4cfe5c098d1b4974a5eed91914c0e9c.jpg
You're keeping it forever or just until the new ones are released? It makes no sense to play Russian roulette with your phone because you think you have a good one.

:D From the T-Mobile Website a bit ago:

Samsung and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) today announced an official U.S. recall of the Galaxy Note7 for battery safety issues, and confirmed that new Note7 replacement devices will be available in most retail locations no later than September 21, 2016.

The 21st can't come soon enough...I'm ready for my replacement ...so some stores may have it earlier since it stated no later....come on tmobile

I checked the Samsung website and my phone is AFFECTED!

I just received my S7 Edge loaner, not really digging at much as my Note 7 but it'll just be for a few days, hopefully. I went to the T-Mobile store and they gave me a $70 case for it, not even entered it in the computer, just told me to keep it, even after I return the S7 Edge.

I wonder what's going to happen to those that already got their loaner phones but their Note 7 isn't affected?

I think everyone who is in possession of a Note7 right now is an affected unit. Sounds like they tagged all phones sold before today as affected.

Well my 'loaner' G5 comes in today. I wonder if I can just send it right back since the new N7s are just a few days away...

I was online with T-Mobile this afternoon and was told originally they were expecting phones in this week and all they were told is that it was delayed and a date would be announced later

So glad I did not have a loaner shipped to me and picked mine up at store. ..some people will have to wait for their shipments

Well I went and did it I decided on an S6 Edge Plus certified used through T-Mobile half the price that for me is going to work best right now and 5 or 6 months I may revisit the note7

For what it's worth, I called my T-Mobile store a little over an hour after the announcement and he said they got an updated bulletin a little while after the announcement that said they should receive replacement units in 1-2 weeks the soonest, it also did not mention how many unites would be delivered. I asked if they had a list that we needed to sign up on and he said no, just phone in... they are going to get sick of answering calls regarding deliveries :D

I had my loaner shipped to me but both the store rep and the rep on the line told me I would have to visit a store to get the new Note 7 and turn in my loaner and old Note 7. Maybe it varies from location to location but based on what they told me it didn't sound like they would be shipping to individuals, just stores... hope that's not the case, I'd rather have it shipped to my work.
